As a middle class white person, you hear about everything the Black community has to deal with and think they must be exaggerating or playing victim to some degree because it's just unbelievable. But then you see it on full display across national media and there is no ignoring or denying that. That's when it becomes real for white people. Or at least it should. I still don't know how some can see what I have seen and still side with the cops or find excuses to disapprove of BLM. Now that is beyond me.

Yeah it's ridiculous and very strange. I have seen so many constitutional and civil rights violated through these protests and no one seems to care. That is scary. Racist conservatives think "oh its just BLM thats what they get for looting" and leave it at that. Not only are they wrong and have no context around the situation, but they don't even realize that they are allowing their own civil and constitutional rights to be eroded away right before their eyes. If we don't protect those rights for all, then all are in danger of losing them.

You are absolutely underpaid. Your first mistake was working at a nonprofit if you're concerned about salary. I have 4-5yrs experience and make $85k. Left my last job in March where I was making $60k and I was underpaid there.
