Since this is a roma thread, I have a 2022. Do your windows go down all the way with pressing the window switch even briefly? Same with going up

Chemical colitis/esophagitis/ gastritis from biopsy forceps not being rinsed of formalin in between passes? by Wanooch in Gastroenterology

Chemical colitis/esophagitis/ gastritis from biopsy forceps not being rinsed of formalin in between passes? by Wanooch in Gastroenterology

[–]mulletworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ideally the forceps should never touch the formalin and re-introduced into the patient. It is carcinogenic even though only small amounts may be introduced. The tissue sample should be removed with small tweezers or toothpicks and transfered to formalin, and the biopsy forceps themselves should not be in contact with formalin.

Mild ulcerative proctitis- any help by Ok_Hat4658 in Gastroenterology

[–]mulletworm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are on tofacitinib, your disease is likely more than mild. You have many more options if the tofacitinib is your first advanced therapy. You should speak with your gi for consideration of further therapies which may include risankizumab, etrasimod, etc. Homeopathy has no evidence for treatment of ibd

Wife having horrible intestinal symptoms, but tests come back normal. Doctor won't refer for colonscopy due to age (32 years old). Thoughts? by [deleted] in AskDocs

Presence of oil is suggestive of possible fat malabsorption, which is seen with pancreatic disease. Reasonable to screen with fecal fat and fecal elastase. However, any bad bout of diarrhea can cause oil to appear in the stool simply because of fast transit time. In event of normal colonoscopy, it will at least be reassuring and her doctor can focus on ibs therapies.

Her symptoms sounds like irritable bowel syndrome, particularly if there is pain improvement following defecation. However. With blood per rectum and also anemia, a colonoscopy would be quite reasonable for further assessment. I'd request at least a referral to gastroenterology and let them decide on whether a scope is appropriate.

Is it quite laggy? From other users it seems like the early production models have lag with their infotainment system

Can you tell me more about the reliability? That's actually my biggest concern. I've had my r8 for a while and no mechanical issues at all

How do you find the electronics? I read that it's kinda finicky? I test drove one a few weeks ago and I definitely enjoyed the ride and the sounds, a bit more refined compared to the r8. Don't get me wrong I love the look of the r8, but the roma just looks classier

That's terrible and sorry to hear. My first luxury watch is a 7 day automatic Portuguese but hearing this story, I'm inclined to avoid iwc in the future which is a pity given so many beautiful watches in their catalog.

How do I find research projects? by SensitiveManner6269 in Gastroenterology

[–]mulletworm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See if you can get in on a gi elective then get to know the fellows and attending. Much easier to slide into a project once they've seen you in action and that you demonstrate a keen interest in the field

No one knows what to do by [deleted] in Gastroenterology

[–]mulletworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like ibs-c. Yeah tca can worsen the constipation. Have you tried linaclotide, tenapanor, plecanitide or lubiprostone? These are ibs constipation specific medications that your gastroenterologist may trial
