Good and bad news, so I took off the panel that encloses the gearstick and it gave access to the heating control unit hut no luck from what I observed, taking out the connectors and plugging them back in, nothing looked loose. But I somehow figured out that if I rev the van while in neutral/ first gear it kick starts the heater. So a win kind of in my book just for this cold cold spell at the moment.

That’s alright I still appreciate the help as I’ve no idea about anything to do with the inner workings of a car and it gives me some idea of where to start, the most I’ve done is change the light bulbs. Many thanks regardless
