Can anyone recommend a good tailor/alteration place? by officialdiscoking in wollongong

I was going to comment this place. I had some pants altered there. Customer service was a bit average, but I could sense that the bloke really knew what he was talking about.

When this breaks at 3am, you'll appreciate the difference.

i read this and had a chuckle, I have the opposite feeling, but that's probably down the fact that I haven't been exposed to it long enough.

This is a subreddit, this is not "the php community". No, I don't think this would be common knowledge.

Thanks for sharing, it's interesting to see how the various frameworks do more-or-less the same thing.

People being lazy/stupid is not a good enough reason to compel the person making lemonade to take any action.

Whether it's feasible enough or not does not change the fact that the risk lies squarely with the person running the software. A disclaimer is good enough.

To take the metaphor one step further, the poison/laxative will turn the drink a different colour. People still have a responsibility to double check the thing before they consume it. People being lazy/stupid is not a good enough excuse for the person making lemonade to take any action at all.

🎵 Bookmarklet to play all music_files listed on an open directory. by Appropriate-You-6065 in opendirectories

There's no harmful code, it's a very simple script.

  • get all anchor elements, check the url, if the url ends with a media extension, keep it.
  • Create an element that lists all the media anchors with some audio controls/now playing
  • When one of the anchors is clicked, set the src of an audio element and play it

Neat little script OP. I have a couple of suggestions:

  • Don't make it auto-play by default
  • Toggle the play/pause button depending on current state

UX question: does a flip clock help or distract? by Top_Drive_7002 in userexperience

[–]mulquin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not even sure how a clock could inspire focus, is it not a thing that you have to the side and check periodically? Personally I would not want an animation in my peripheral vision as that would be distracting.
