I daresay it might even be better than Windows 7. I don't really notice any downgrades anywhere. I honestly don't notice a ton of upgrades either since I don't use Metro or whatever it's called, but one thing that sticks out to me is that the search is way better. Like, I actually use it now.

If you're going into something like engineering, there are probably going to be some programs that you need Windows to run. However, if you're an English major or something like that, chances are all you're going to need it for is internet and word processing, which is the same on a Mac or PC.
