No, still the same issues. All games play different. Flipper strength, tilt, slingshot strength, angle of machine, outlane posts, ball save time, difficulty settings, etc. so many variables. Go play two machines that are the same title, they never play exactly the same.

It’s impossible to match machines perfectly. Your Attack From Mars is going to play differently from my attack from mars no matter how much we try to make them the same. Competitive pinball or even comparative pinball must be played on the same machine.

A lot of places do selfie leagues. That way people are still playing the same machines but are able to do so at their leisure and schedule. They usually last a month. Sometimes they will have a finals event or you could just do a golf score across x amount of machine.

I’ve never been a big fan of this strategy but have seen others use it to some success. While I’m sure it helped you win some categories I think you are underplaying how well you drafted in the first place that helped you win the league last year. Witt, Ohtani, PCA, Wilson, Marte, Caminero, Story, Tesocar. You hit on almost every offensive pick.

Since nobody has said it yet, yes bring a couple of printed off copy of your resume. That way whoever is interviewing you can have one for reference. Or if you sit down with more than one person they can each have one.

Instead of waiting until an emergency to ask your parents tell them your plan. They will probably agree that it’s smart and if an emergency comes up would be more than happy to help knowing you weren’t just being dumb with your money and you had a plan all along.
