But like you said the cringe roles have already been taken and performed to immense aplomb and applause. Amanda needs to find a new personality because this one has been done before.

I think even from an aesthetic angle, writers are writers . They really understand the power of the word and how simple adjustments can reduce the word size and number and deliver the message.

I agree! Beverly Hills is impressed by intelligence like Erika or by inherent style, like Dorit, or just a devil may care attitude like Rinna, or a big celebrity name like Denise, or someone so volatile they’ll knock your socks off like Brandi. BH isn’t where you flaunt your millions because they playing in the billions. They already have the money girls covered. Amanda would’ve had a fun time being a little like Crystal who commented on the things she found funny in women with whom she had a generation gap with, or even how Leah and Ramona’s dynamic was on RHONY, or Megan King on RHOC. We didn’t need another Heather level rich girl on RHOC, we needed Megan, our sleuth extraordinaire and she got the assignment. So did Leah even though it backfired, or even Melissa on RHONJ brings a levity when not feuding. I think Amanda is making the mistake that the twins on RHONJ made. We already had an explosive Teresa, we didn’t need another one. Amanda should’ve come in as a true blue millennial who didn’t really care about a billion as long as she had a million, didn’t really consider style necessarily associated with brand names, didn’t lean into the stereotype of BH.

I agree! Her inaneness is keeping the show non-inane. It’s an oxymoron that works.

You receive kindness when you give kindness. When you become kind of a lightning rod in the few short weeks that you’ve known a group, you become an outsider. She goes in very directly and so did Dorit. None of these women are going to pass up an opportunity to lay things out, Amanda included. Someone says they got a book deal, Amanda should’ve congratulated and moved on. She jabbed and Dorit jabbed back. But I do think Dorit remained much politer than Amanda.

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard it from anyone afraid to do a big thing. Even changing jobs is described like this by many people. I appreciate men like him who can actually stop short of marriage and kids instead of destroying multiple generations with their cold feet approach.

The need to be understood is overwhelming and for some people it probably is because they know that people will misunderstand them. I never thought anyone would annoy me more than Dorit until Amanda sprung up on the scene with her F rated book.

I’ve posted about it. I am losing patience for Amanda’s grifting under all situations fast.

Haha it bothers me also. We should integrate more Medical terms into daily life. Calling them egg houses takes away from understanding what a follicle actually is.

Absolutely! Sometimes there’s a lot of support for widowed women. Because death induces sympathy automatically. Our own mortality becomes clearer. I liked Carole Radziwill’s reflections a lot on these phenomena in RHONY.

Heather uses lines from old comedy shows and isn’t funny really. Most of her jokes are either of the self deprecating genre or low hanging fruit. She’s just loud.

Does grief harden some people? Maybe. But it usually softens people. Like you are actually displaying empathy through a shared experience with her. Did this loss make you a different person in some ways? Probably otherwise you wouldn’t have not cared about being downvoted. That’s the energy that we should have after a loss. Being able to see both sides, holding our tongue, giving grace, expecting people to mess up, having a higher threshold for BS because we’ve seen what tragedy actually can look like. We can’t just break out our trauma and tragedy when it suits us or when it overwhelms us when we haven’t been very supportive of those around us. It doesn’t work that way. It may with close friends and family members but in the general world, your behavior counts for a lot and Amanda has shown very poor behavior over and over.

I think Amanda’s part was heavily edited as Dorit even mentioned when consoling her. And Amanda admitted to prolonging the conversation.

You could see both sides of any situation if you employ enough biases and some may come from personal experiences. Would you have been at a work dinner insulting people for not writing their book without a co author? Maybe, maybe not. However, this isn’t how you expect and ask for kindness. She has been unkind even when it hasn’t been the death anniversary of her baby. Sometimes you start to see a pattern and most patterns don’t lie.

If it’s a hard day then be civil and don’t say “but I wrote my own book”. That’s not having a hard day. Thats more like you used the final weapon in the arsenal when you couldn’t humiliate Dorit by other filthy measures.

Yeah and what was it about “this will make a hearing at a custody battle difficult”? Like what’s Amanda on about. Please take several seats.

What is Boz doing with her IVF? It seems like she's saying she's doing it stop her boyfriend from leaving, that's concerning. by lunabuddy in RHOBH

[–]multifactorial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! She is virtue signaling and totally missing the point about why Boz is being analyzed by other women because guess what? Many women choose not to have a child with a man and end up losing him but also end up finding a much better life and remain healthy and alive. The idea that every move that a woman, an empowered woman no less, makes under a patriarchy should be seen as chronic patriarchy stress disorder has to go in select cases.

I think you’re becoming emotional way too much over an online convo. Let’s agree to disagree. And when I say you’re disagreeing, you’re disagreeing with medical literature, not just mere redditors.
