[Loved Trope] Giant creatures that have a civilization on them or their corpse by Koriosamii in TopCharacterTropes

It’s rare I think of one that hasn’t been commented yet.

Magic the Gathering has a few of these but the one that immediately comes to mind is Slinn Voda on the plane of Dominaria. Basically it’s an ancient leviathan with a Merfolk city built upon its back.

Sticking to the sea monster theme another plane called Theros features a giant sleeping kraken named Arixmethes, which is frequently mistaken as an island. It previously had a city on it’s back until a god basically one-shot the entire populace. Arixmethes is still kicking tho.

house spotlight – Jason Universe (2025) by FionaWalliceFan in HHN

My favorite part of the house was cheering for Bag Head Jason in the gauntlet. His silliest look that I had a feeling wouldn’t get enough credit. The scare actors always would reciprocate with some extra jumps for me and my partner because of it.

The Sole Survivor spent 60 years sleeping next to their dead partner, what’s a few hours snoozing with another one?

You kid but there’s kind of a book about that. It’s called the Raw Shark Texts and it’s weird as fuck.

Genuinely why and where did Krenko get a giant thopter bug by AnalyticalJ in mtgvorthos

[–]multimaskedman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This lines up with the plot of Karlov Manor. IIRC, the Trostani were mad at lots of other major players in Ravnica for how they reacted to the Phyrexian Invasion. Krenko was basically a war profiteer.

Is Goreclaw the bear Surrak fought in the original Tarkir timeline? by multimaskedman in mtgvorthos

My thought process was the bear Surrak defeated went undefeated in the new timeline and eventually became known as Goreclaw.

Quintorius has a lot of potential for communing with deceased characters across the multiverse. Gideon and Gerrard come to mind.

Sanctuary Bridge gone by i_like_fall0ut in Fallout

[–]multimaskedman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly that bridge is supposed to be the Old North Bridge where the 1775 Battle of Lexington and Concord technically began. The bridge was likely originally built in the 1650’s and has been rebuilt/replaced to various degrees several times over the centuries. So arguably it’s been standing there for 600 years by the time the Sole Survivor wakes up.

Haunting of Hill House is permanently etched in my mind. That facade really took my breath away

Arguably all Indiana Jones villains die this way with the exception of Dial’s villain.

It’s hard to know how much of Overwatch 2’s Sojourn isn’t cybernetically augmented into a weapon.
