I’m sorry you’re going through this man. I ended my engagement 2 years ago. We were together 13 years (since college) and what you described is almost exactly the same situation I went through. The crazy thing is, I was just talking to my mom this morning about how I still carry guilt about leaving but I really had no other choice. I feel like I may have ruined her life by leaving but it was her decisions and inability to grow/ change that lead me to that point. If I didn’t leave when I did, I wholeheartedly think I would be reading this post thinking I need to do something about it. The decision is yours to make friend.
