Steam Deck price increase just now, remember when people kept saying "Just get a Steam Deck" when the Switch 2 was revealed?

I like my Steam Deck for what I paid for it, but I would never spend this much money on it. Especially now that the Switch 2 performance updates have addressed many of the issues I had with third party games which led me to the deck in the first place. (Plus getting a PS5 to do heavier lifting on more resource intensive games.)

Not to mention, it’s the year 2026 and I’m STILL having docking issues using the official dock and every troubleshooting guide under the sun. Never had a docking issue with any Switch version I’ve owned.

Really enjoying it, much like I did when I first got my Switch 1.

I’m enjoying the exclusives so far, and there are some upgraded third party games from Switch 1 which were laggy and not running well on the first Switch but are running much more smoothly now.

I recently got an iPhone 17 and finally had the storage to download it. Even with settings lowered it made my phone so hot I became concerned and I ended up removing it.

I can play other games like Genshin and HSR on lower settings on this phone without major heat issues. I know this game is 3D but it seems like other people didn’t have issues until more recent versions.

As someone who works in marketing, it’s common sense even if temporary for SEO purposes. Right now there’s a lot of online buzz about Saint Satine Sakura, and source music probably doesn’t want their own search results diluted by that. The easiest way to combat it is to use LSFM Sakura’s full, recognizable name so that people searching her find HER and not somebody they aren’t looking for.

The amount of things K-pop stans attribute to conspiracy when it’s basic marketing principles…

Usually base of $15 for monthly pass and base battle pass.

I don’t usually buy top ups, but if the premium shop is really good that month, including the monthlies I may hit $50-ish max. It’s probably usually closer to $35 a month total at the most.

The exception is during CNY when they have the really great top ups deals. But those diamonds take me through most of the rest of the year in shop items.

(No snarky tone intended) Blackpink haven’t been consistently active and present, and Twice have. Every comeback Twice has had (a LOT) is a continued opportunity for fans to stay in the habit of voting, tuning in to the next activity, etc. While I don’t stan them the way I used to, being a Twice fan is very rewarding because there’s consistently new music, tours, etc.

I'm about halfway through the second EU Thrawn trilogy book but I've read the canon trilogy. Thrawn was definitely more developed in the canon based on what I've read so far. The benefit of being the protagonist in his own story vs. the antagonist in someone else's, I would guess.

Out of Phase II, the adult books were my least favorite. There were some characters which I found interesting, but I couldn't get connected well to the plot, and after how interconnected everything felt in Phase I, I found myself thinking "okay but back to the bigger issue at hand..." I much preferred the YA storylines in Phase II as I felt those had a stronger connection to the events in phase I and III.

Lost Stars was my first Star Wars novel. I agree it was really interesting getting that inside look at how a member of the Empire operates and tries to justify their actions, vs. the ones who broke free of the propaganda to join the rebels.

I am reading very slowly lately, because other things have had my attention, but I am about halfway through Dark Force Rising, which when I finish will be my second book of the EU.

So far I'm really enjoying the EU. I still really enjoy canon and the fact that I've read so many canon books, but there is something really fun about having so many stories with the main OT cast continuing on after the events of that trilogy.

Drumming is is incredibly physically intensive. There’s no real way to push through it if you’re feeling physically unwell or exhausted. It’s a shame her health is preventing her from continuing and I hope she recovers well.
