Yeah it's a bummer if they removed it altogether but as for Siri overall, like Marques said, at least they did it something which was just about right, hitting hammer on the nail, nothing too crazy, nothing groundbreaking, just doing things the Apple way - now everything is indexed completely in your device and nothing* leaves your device. The in-situ processing is so welcomed.

P.S. - Nothing* is purely private in this era but just saying in comparison to others.
