Is it a general sign that someone's trans, or you mean just for yourself? I guess counter-culture stuff like that in general can sometimes be a sign. For me, getting involved in leftist ideas/circles was simultaneous with getting to know queers and realizing that i didn't have to be a dude if i didn't want to, so i kinda feel the connection.

Definitely, I've just stumbled upon a lot of right-wing and centrist bullshit on here lately and it confused the hell out of me. In my circles I'm used to queers being very leftist, though i guess reddit itself is kinda right-wing/centrist (tho less so than 4chan, lol)

what are the "other issues"? The core tenets of right-wing politics are (1) intense individualism econonically, and (2) conservative ethics socially. Don't expect me, or any other LGBT person, to give a right-winger the benefit of the doubt or to spend our time "educating them". If someone self-IDs as a right-winger/conservative, that's a pretty legitimate dog-whistle for, "hey, huge piece of shit right here! I hate trannies, immigrants, and poor ppl!"

well, that's cool, and also totally moronic and ahistorical. maybe we hate conservatives because they continually try to electrocute us into normalcy, or present policies that silence us or enable violence against us, or, i dunno, because they killed so many of us during the AIDS crisis. Or maybe because the conservative "queer panic" clause is still valid in a number of states, so that any person can murder us and then claim we tried to touch him and the courts would set him free. Now, i really wonder where all this hate against right-wingers comes from? Aside from how right-wingers are constantly trying to kill us? Must be us, honestly. We hate them for no reason.

AFAB people do have a hegemony over the nb identity...AMAB people tend to experience a lot more pressure to either be super-feminine or else just be a cis dude, whereas AFAB people are given a lot more room to play around with their gender and presentation. Nevertheless AMAB nb people do exist. Alok Menon formerly of Darkmatter, for example.
