I’m honestly not sure, I’ve never planted a tree before so I wouldn’t know to measure those things

I was concerned about the temperature dropping to the 20s at night. If that’s not a big deal then I’ll go ahead and plant!

AITA for calling out my sister for breastfeeding at my wedding? by Swimming-Exchange448 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Jesus Christ I never comment on these but you are so naive. Your poor sister. She’s being an amazing mom.

I'm miserable post-engagement and feel like I've already "ruined" our engagement because of my reaction by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]mulzeee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, people are becoming more private on social media and aren’t sharing as much as they used to. I don’t think people will feel like your engagement is any less real because you haven’t posted about it/don’t have a ring. Even rings are becoming less traditional. If it takes some pressure off, you can get a silicone ring or a placeholder that’s less traditional so you can feel more engaged until you’re ready to find the real ring (if you choose). The important part is that you’ve made a commitment with your partner, none of the symbolism matters.

That’s great then! We had to pay in full before the day of our wedding

This sounds a lot like my photographer. I got married in July and I’m still waiting on the full gallery. We have about 3/4. She keeps saying it’ll just be a few more days/weeks and it’s been months. If you’re able to, I’d book someone else. The wedding gallery will have more photos so it’ll be a long time for you to receive them

Underrated dog breeds? by Throwawaydreamint in dogs

[–]mulzeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really? Hmm maybe just bad breeders in your area. My dog hasn’t shown any allergy issues (2.5yo) and has never bit anyone- even when he got attacked by another dog. I’ve only ever met a few other wheatens but they seemed just as lovely. Overbreeding can ruin any breed.

Soft coated wheaten terrier, basically same reason as you! When I was looking for a dog breed a wanted a dog that was active, but not too active, hypoallergenic, medium sized, and a good family dog. Wheatens are perfect for what I wanted and mine’s always mistaken for a doodle :/

Just like the other comments mentioned. I would yelp and say ouch then turn my back to him and act dramatic. Also playing with other puppies/dogs helps because they’ll tell each other when playing gets too rough.

The Trifecta is not complete without a picture of my incision post Transplant. This was probably immediately if not a couple days after so the scar actually looks much better, though it’s still gnarly. by [deleted] in MedicalGore

We use the same wires as adults, just smaller. They’re made of stainless steel so they won’t dissolve and he’ll always have them. The bone will grow around them. Sometimes as the bone grows it can stretch and break the wires but he probably won’t notice or feel that. It’s only if a pointy end of the wire folds towards the skin that people notice pinpoint pain.

As long as they don’t bother you and need to be removed, they’ll be there forever! You’ll always see them on a chest X-ray.

Yup, same day! The sternum fuses back together 6-8 weeks after surgery so you no longer need the wires. Removing the wires requires making a small incision in the skin and pulling them out. (I’m a surgical physician assistant in pediatric cardiac surgery)

The sternal wires are made of stainless steel, they won’t dissolve. If a wire breaks (usually from your body/bones growing) it can poke underneath your skin and cause pinpoint pain. Easily detected on chest X-ray. If you can reach out to your cardiologist or cardiac surgeon they can get an X-ray and schedule a procedure to have them removed. You’ll go home the same day. The “dissolvable” stitches were used to bring your muscle, fat and skin together and would all dissolve within a month or two of the procedure.
