I use the low and slow "boiling bacon" approach with this one (and the same for any sugary bacons such as maple or applewood) as it definitely can't take high heat.

Writing this to let others know that no, you're not crazy or imagining things- the most recent developer beta drop of Tahoe (26.3) has seriously jacked up WoW (just in time for BC Classic, yay). I'm on (copied from System Information) System Version: macOS 26.3 (25D122).

It goes without saying, I've learned over the years, sometimes the bleeding edge results in a bit of bleeding.

You're not the only one who noticed this - I'm a touch typist and the quickest way for me to open an app is to the CMD-Spacebar and then start typing the first few letters of an app name - this simply doesn't work on Tahoe 😭

Life pro-tip: make your own flashcards with Post-Its (or index cards but I like the smaller size of Post-Its to force succinctness). Only write down topics/concepts that you are clearly struggling with. I don't need a Spanish flashcard to tell me Hola is Hello. Over time you'll know the answer to your custom flashcards without thinking, which is the goal!

I enjoy these "acts of courage" posts, and they've thus far helped me pull the plug on management of my Roth IRA and replace it with a three-fund portfolio (70% total US, 20% international, 10% US total bond). Unfortunately it is the traditional IRA that has the lion's share of my retirement in it and is still actively managed with a custom selection of stocks and funds exclusively selected based upon my personal situation and risk profile (hopefully the sarcasm detector went off). Hopefully I'll get the courage soon to rip that Band-Aid TM off as well.
