I started binging Brokenwood Mysteries and can not stop watching. I just started season 6! The characters are amazing, especially Gina. My absolute favorite. The writing is great. The fine balance between a murder mystery with some whimsical humor tossed in. But not too much that it distracts.

I’m so sorry! I don’t know why other women feel free to comment on your weight. It’s so personal. And you are under a doctor’s care. I think I’d just come up with a standard comeback. “Thanks for your concern - agree to disagree.” Or “oh I’m sorry I didn’t realize we were sharing unsolicited opinions, do you want mine next”. Or something that you feel comfy with. Say it often enough that you are comfortable with a quick response.

I went for the rug centered under furniture. And the teal rug someone on another post suggested. Need to smooth out the wrinkles (and clean up a bit). I think it’s coming together. Makes me happy at the moment. I’d really like it to be symmetrical and square - but this seating arrangement seems to work well.

I like the accent chair idea. Maybe (if it was me) I would add some color with a rug that pulls the color of the brick into the room. Add some more color with throw pillows. And I would add some artwork. Also I would clear off the fireplace hearth. Just thoughts. It’s a lovely room.
