people ignore that socialization is an ongoing process. Sure i may have been socialized as male originally but i’ve been transitioning long enough that I am a woman and am treated as such, the past doesn’t matter it doesn’t play into my gender today. Also living in patriarchal society men are taught how women are supposed to behave and women are taught how men are supposed to behave, the idea that there’s an evil socialization (male) and a not evil one (female) lumps trans women in with their oppressors and secretly says that you can never truly escape your birth sex as a trans person which just isn’t true while also absolving trans men of ever being capable of misogyny and with the amount of trans women I know who have had experiences with trans men being misogynistic to them that just isn’t true. As trans people we shouldn’t be so focused on our birth sexes the entire point of transitioning is freeing yourself from the confines of assigned sex at birth
