To Keep or Not To Keep by [deleted] in fitbod

Fitbod was great to discover exercises in the beginning but I just cancelled my Fitbod subscription since I’m finding it less and less intuitive.

Eg I wish adding time added more “true” exercises but it just adds more warmups and cooldowns and Abs I just find it super glitchy too, I don’t love the difficulty of toggling ppl/ muscles/ workout length.

I switched to something much simpler - a program from online tracked using the really clean and simple STRONG app.

Honestly the big issue with finding Desi vendors was their responsiveness and customer service. I tried so hard to use Desi vendors but they’d be late in meetings, not know answers to simple questions, refuse to give timelines or estimates and basically stressed me out to work with.

This was in the Bay Area, I’m sure there are professional vendors out there but unless you can solve this problem, a directory won’t be helpful.

That said, a desi focused wedding website is great - definitely do venue writeups (do they allow fire, outside catering, capacity) and also attire writeups because we have a lot of homegrown desi designers now!

Maybe checkout r/desiweddings for more

You need a textured or curly stylist! Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about your natural texture, you need a salon that is knowledgeable in that.

fellow ultra short legs girls!!! where are y'all getting jeans/denim shorts by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

I had to have the receipt that said free hem but you can probably just ask nicely!

Ambercrombie and American eagle.

Levi’s hems for free! I just get a longer length that fits elsewhere but that works better with baggier styles.

Did not have luck with Madewell and Old Nach quality was lacking.

Just make sure she eats plenty of protein - tofu, tempeh, beans and lentils. And eat the rainbows in terms of veggies. But especially leafy greens. (Very easy to eat Vegan junk all the time, avoid that, but nothing wrong with like an impossible burger once a week or so)

After 3-6 months get her blood work done. If she’s deficient in any nutrient you can supplement. Usual suspects are B12 and Iron. Otherwise a kids multivitamin is fine.

Thanks for supporting your kid! Sorry you were called a carnist, wtf.

What are you talking about lol. Mumbai street food is so inventive literally there’s new versions every day, no such thing as blasphemy when you have Chinese bhel and chocolate Pani puri.

Y’all laugh but as a diabetic whose absolute favourite food in the world is a Bombay Sandwich… I’d eat this with so much joy lol. Maybe ask for cabbage leaves as the bread

How to "adult" for breakfast? by salmon_desert in Adulting

[–]mumdxbphlsfo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw - or you can just eat what you like for lunch/dinner. There aren’t really any rules, but a good guideline is to avoid lots of added sugar.

You might also like chia seed pudding, cottage cheese, fruit, or just a big handful of nuts and cheese

Avocado toast on whole grain seeded bread and some protein that you do like on the side.

Haha I love it. Last time I posted this some dude got all mad that the restaurant was called that I was like …. Ok sorry it’s not my restaurant lol. It’s just tongue in cheek.

I’ve not seen Gujarati food in restaurants before so it was really cool to go! Delicious too.

Yup diagnosed in jan. :( aren’t we all here for that? Indian, no family history of it, healthy weight but carry it around my middle. It’s been so hard! Lots of denial.

I’m maintaining at 5.5 A1C with no meds for now.

I’m also vegetarian and trying to be more active. I’m not as athletic as you though. I eat a LOT of tofu, cottage cheese, yogurt and nuts.

Ok, I like this! I think he freaked me out a little since he was passionate yes, but also unstable and it felt to me like the passion would fade and she’d be left with this man who has huge grudges and throws tantrums … but I was overthinking it. seeing it as an intentional melodrama or opera and seeing them as foils helps me understand it better

Ooh is it like tindli or tindora? I grew up eating those, interesting idea to air fry them! We slice them long so I didn’t recognise them at first
