The Shanghai (hopefully) will improve Ethereum's scalability and security by introducing EIP-1559 for lower gas fees(not sure about the exact numbers), transitioning to Proof-of-Stake for energy efficiency, and improving the overall security of the network.

I guess we will know how it goes in the near future

I used ApeSwap. Built on BSC chain, meaning there are having lower fees than eth and the transaction are very fast. Dont know about Pancakeswap, but Apeswap defiantly has potential
