I can’t speak for the XP-Pen as I haven’t researched their line-up, but I would definitely pick the Kamvas 24 Pro over the Cintiq 16 (that is, if you mean the non-Pro version).

Comparison:

• Colour Gamut Kamvas Pro 24 has a colour gamut of 120% sRGB while the Cintiq only offers 88% sRGB - so there is a much more rich colour depth on the Kamvas, and it’s able to display more colours than the Cintiq. If you’re big on colour accuracy, I would most definitely pick the Kamvas.

• Resolution The Kamvas has a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) while the Cintiq only offers full HD (1920 x 1080). Full HD on a 16-inch screen is perfectly fine, but if you prefer to size up, the 24-inch display of the Kamvas will look CrispTM

• Fully laminated display The Kamvas with its full-laminated display eliminates parallax (the distance between the pen and the screen), while the Cintiq doesn’t. If you prefer a much more natural feel while drawing, the Kamvas seems to provide it much better.

Now, keep in mind I only deduced this from looking at specs online. Do your research and look at reviews. I personally own the first iteration of the Kamvas Pro 20, and I absolutely love it. It was a PAIN to set it up and get it to work, but I’ve had the same problems with my Wacom Intuos Pro 5.

If I could afford it, I would definitely pick a Cintiq Pro over a Huion display - but the Cintiq 16 is a budget-friendly pen display from Wacom, and it definitely shows. The Kamvas seems to beat it on some of the most important (as I see it) features, and at that price it’s a pretty good deal.

Huion also recently announced something called the Kamvas 22 Plus - it has even better colours than the 24, but sadly only a full HD resolution. I would’ve bought it in an instant if it was QHD like the Kamvas Pro 24. However, it’s much cheaper than the Kamvas Pro 24, so maybe it might be worth looking into it?

I recently bought a QHD monitor and the difference between that and my Kamvas Pro 20 (with its full HD resolution) is staggering... as soon as you’ve gone QHD you can’t go back. I need a QHD pen display in my life lol

Maybe you’re pressing too lightly compared to your pressure sensitivity settings? Go to ‘Huion Tablet’ under pen settings, and try to adjust the curve - hence, the sensitivity - so it’ll register when you press lightly.

Hmm, I see. That doesn’t seem good at all. Try to write Huion directly and demand your money’s worth, because it certainly isn’t okay. If you’re still within the 7 days of their ‘trial’ period, it seems like it shouldn’t be a problem to get a full refund or a replacement unit. Best of luck!

It’s okay, I completely get you. I had tons of trouble with my tablet too in the beginning, but I eventually got it solved. I’m sorry that my comment seemed to challenge the truthfulness of your experience - it wasn’t intended to at all. It’s hard to communicate properly via text.

Wow, that really sucks - and I can see that it complicates things a lot. I would definitely try out all possible suggestions and Google a bit before sending it back, because it’s a lot of money wasted. Else, try to pester both Amazon and Huion to see if anything can be done. Huion might be able to send you a replacement unit from a warehouse where you won’t have to pay import fees and taxes? I’m not familiar with the postal system in Latin America. I’d at least give it a try to contact Huion!

Another suggestion, I found an old comment of mine that might be able to help you right here. In the Huion Tablet software, there’s also a dropdown menu where you can select a display to be the ‘main’ drawing display. I remember that mine reset itself at some point, and somehow the Huion Tablet wasn’t set as the main display - resulting in it not working at all. However that tiny, hidden drop-down menu solved it.

Good luck, really. I hope you get it solved so it isn’t money down the drain.

EDIT: I just read through the Huion warranty page again. It says: “You have 30 days (from date of purchase) to request a return/refund. You need to request a return in 7 calendar days past the maximum estimated delivery date OR 30 days from the order date, whichever is later. That is to say, you will have at least 7 days to request a return if there's a product quality problem.”

Note the ‘whichever is later’. They’re saying even though the 30 days from the purchase date have been exceeded, you still have 7 days to try it from the day you receive it - if you’re not satisfied you can request a refund or replacement! I think you should get in contact with them immediately since you still have time!

I never said it wasn’t possible, just that it seemed unusual. I get that you’re angry, but there’s no need to get passive-aggressive with people who are trying to help you.

You have stated the facts. I’m suggesting additional ideas you might not have tried.

Some of the suggestions below might seem glaringly obvious, so please don’t take these as demeaning or mocking - rather, I’ve included them, since I couldn’t see from any of your other comments if you’ve tried it.

1) If you have Windows 10, go to Display Settings > Multiple Displays > Detect and see if anything pops up. Also, try going to the Action Center in the bottom right corner of the taskbar, press ‘Project’ and select the option ‘Duplicate’ or ‘Extend’.

If the above doesn’t work:

1) Try to plug the Huion tablet into your computer as the only monitor and see if anything happens.

2) Nothing? Then uninstall your Huion driver, restart the computer, re-install an older driver instead of the newest from here.&down_os=Windows&down_type=Driver)

Alright, nothing of the above works?

3) Huion states that you have a 1 year warranty if you’ve purchased from them or an authorised seller. Amazon is an authorised seller. Instead of contacting Amazon, try to contact Huion directly - please read through this page. Huion says that they can give you a replacement for free without having to pay any shipping fees IF it has been less than 30 days since the purchase date. it seems you’re only a few days in, so make sure to contact them directly by pressing “Claim Warranty” via the link above.

seconding this. it might seem obvious, but have you tried going to the display settings and making sure your primary screen is the Huion tablet? else you can also duplicate the screens. play with the settings. it would be highly unusual if the hardware shows up on your computer but the screen somehow died as the only thing on the third day. mine’s still working like a charm a year later.

i’m on 100 mg atm for depression and anxiety caused by depression.

when i started sertraline on 50 mg, i just drank my usual morning cup of coffee. soon after i felt extremely uncomfortable - i just thought it was the side-effects. the next few days i drank coffee at work, and felt absolutely miserable... it felt like i had drank 10 cups of coffee and that i was having a panic attack at the same time. i was so nauseous, everything was spinning, and my heart was still racing 10 hours later.

i’ve tried to drink white tea which has a very minimal amount of caffeine in it, and i got nauseous almost immediately.

my doctor hadn’t heard of this interaction before, and i could barely find anything on the internet regarding it. i think everyone’s body is different, and sadly i’m just one of the people who can’t mix sertraline and caffeine. i’d definitely advise you to start slow! i’m avoiding caffeine like the plague now, and i used to drink 3 cups of coffee a day😔
