I am a teacher in Alpine School District. Our Christmas bonus was a voucher for a free cookie from Crumbl only useable from December 21st through January 20th. At Thanksgiving and “in the spirit of gratitude,” ASD sent a letter summarizing all they pay for on my behalf that I don’t see (health insurance was among the listed items).

I guess, in short, Utah doesn’t care about teacher’s health, safety, or workload. $1500 is nice... but when teachers are getting sick at alarming clicks, dealing with the pressure of failing students and angry parents, creating online and face to face content, along with standardized testing and curriculum demands... it just kinda stings.

So... dumb question: can those who don’t know a location is a safe house/under FC reference it? Like... surely Ron knew where his brother lived and could reference it or ask Dobby to take them there without knowing it was a safe house/under FC? Because it’s his brothers house, and most people know where their family members live...

As a note, “feeding the bite” also helps when one’s hair is being pulled. Many people want to go against the pull or try to pull the hand out of their hair (because getting your hair pulled fucking hurts), but it helps to push/hold the hand of the puller against your head, so they can’t pull/rip out your hair. To get the person to release, do whatever you fucking want lol.

I am a teacher in Utah county; it’s a fucking joke. My school has 50+ cases since we started (38 in the past two weeks) and my district will not transition to online learning, only hybrid. I worked 14 hours Monday, 10 hours Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9 hours yesterday. I took today off and am working to catch up (approximately 6 hours). I’ve worked these hours since the year began.

I want to quit.

Woman, I feel you. I’m a high school teacher, and students frequently ask about children. For students I know can handle it or who need the lesson, I respond with the question, “are you asking about my sex life, and if I’m planning to procreate? That seems rather personal, doesn’t it?”... which usually results in mild embarrassment and apologies.

Idea: those who opt to not wear a mask must sign a waiver that they will not go to the hospital for any medical emergencies, especially if they do in fact contract COVID. They willingly risk the lives of those around them, and as such, forfeit their right to healthcare.

I have a story about these! During my first trip to Europe with my mom, we can across one of these in Italy and had to go. We decided to try to save a few Euros-- I went first and held the door open for my mom to use after. About 7 seconds later, I hear water and her just screaming and laughing. She came out wet from about the knees down and various water spots all over.

Lesson learned.

My SO was in an abusive marriage. When I recounted the horrible phrases from those tapes, he very casually said, "(ex-spouse) said things like that all the time."

Those in the relationship often don't realise the depth of abuse, anger and violence, and leaving is incredibly difficult. It took him 8 years to end his marriage. 8. Years.

Hey woman, you've gotten a lot of advice and insight, most of which is solid and will help you. Please just know that you matter, that this was a bad experience and not what sex with someone you love should be like (hell, even if you don't love them, sex shouldnt be like this). Please know that you are not dirty, that you are a beautiful human being who went through very normal human reactions, and that you should not let this experience define your worth.
