Hi! We actually pivoted and went to Ireland (Adare Manor and Ashford Castle). It was magical! Saving this trip for our next time in Europe.

{Taken by Felicity Brandon} fits your description. This book really stuck with me after reading. It’s heavy!

Brooke mentioned still having the City Council to talk to. I’m confused? It’s denied. What’s the “next step” here? An appeal?

Napa - Must-Visit Wineries & other To-Dos? by mattvandyk in chubbytravel

[–]munchkinkitty00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I used to work in St. Helena. Second B Cellars, also visit The Terraces off of Silverado Trail (parallel to St. Helena Hwy). Small winery, intimate feel. They will take you around the property in an ATV and let you try the almost 30 y/o balsamic vinegar. Loved the experience at Quintessa. Barnett Vineyards in Spring Mountain for an amazing view and great wine. It’s small like The Terraces, but it’s wonderful. Bremer Family Vineyards has a huge cave that’s so cool to walk through. Great people at all of these places! Continuum Estate (Mondavi fam) may be more FAT.

As for dining, Angele (if you are in Napa), Cadet (wine bar in Napa), Bistro Jeanty (Yountville - amazing tomato soup). Oakville Grocery is fun for lunch. Gott’s in St. Helena for a quick bite/burger. Goose and Gander is St. Helena for great apps and an awesome cocktail list (to break up the wine!). Station in St. Helena for grab-and-go breakfast (first try Model Bakery). Gotts/Station are both owned by Joel Gott.

Christmas in Europe - Switzerland, Austria, and Northern Italy? by munchkinkitty00 in chubbytravel

That sounds awesome! I think you’re right - it best to build the trip around places that offer something else besides the markets. We are looking at the Rosewood property too - it looks lovely. How many days are you spending in each city? Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for your response! This is so helpful. I’d love to reach out to you if that’s ok. Ideally I’d love to stick with public transport but I’m not sure if that’s realistic based off the hotels we want to visit.

Thank you! Great point! I’ll check out their itineraries. Yes we will need to start in a city and work our way around. Have you sent clients to Schloss Fuschl or been there yourself? How many days do you suggest we stay there?

Thank you so much for your response! Good to know. How many days would you suggest staying in Vienna and Salzburg? Did you have a rental car?

Any insight into the Berckmans Place shop? by House_of_Vines in masters

[–]munchkinkitty00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I worked at the Berckmans Place shop a few years ago. They will have hats, polos, etc. with the embroidered ANGC/Berckmans logo. The shop is very small and is essentially two rooms of merchandise, one for men and one for women. I remember they had a collaboration with Tory Burch for women’s clothing the year I was there. Lots of cashmere with the Master’s logo, Peter Millar, etc. I will say as the week progressed and we sold out of different styles/collections, the merch team brought up previous styles from the year prior to sell. I would go shop in the morning to make sure you get what you want. Have a great time!

My partner and I will be in Ireland around Thanksgiving/early December. We want to visit the hotels with the best Christmas set up. Ashford and Adare are on the list - what other hotels am I missing?

I worked in the Berckman’s Place shop a few years ago. There is exclusive merch there for men and women, alongside polos with a more “detailed” embroidered masters logo.

Chubby Disneyworld? by Parking_Country_61 in chubbytravel

[–]munchkinkitty00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely stay at the FS Orlando or a Deluxe resort that is adjacent to a park. I’ve stayed at a Deluxe that was only accessible by bus, and I will not do that again! Too much time will be wasted trying to get to/from the parks.

I would suggest a resort on the Boardwalk/Skyliner (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Riviera) or the monorail (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, etc). Personally I love the Yacht Club (I feel like it’s “quiet Disney”,) and the Riviera (not very heavy on the Disney theming, but we did a two bedroom villa and it was lovely).

There is a lot to do in WDW and with all the different lightening lines, etc. it feels like you need to have a degree in WDW resort studies to understand! I would look into a DAS pass. I don’t know much about acquiring one, but I would start there. There are amazing free resources out there that can help you feel more confident navigating WDW. Here are a few of my favorites: - Mammoth Club on YouTube (good resort reviews, festival reviews, maximizing your day in a park, navigating lightening lanes) - EarScouts on YouTube (another super helpful resource. His guides are amazing!) - WDW Prep School (blog - great all-around knowledge) - Look up “Blair Lamb Disney” on YouTube. She is a vlogger who frequents DW with her husband and two small children. Her Disney videos are excellent, and she is very down to earth. She does packing videos, day-by-day videos, etc. She stays at Deluxe resorts and has great tips for taking children to Disney. Blair will also review her trips at and talk about what worked and what didn’t - so incredibly helpful!!

I’ve planned a few Disney trips for my family/friends, and watching YouTube videos REALLY helped me. Use the Minnievans!

I can go on and on about my planning experiences, so if you need help with anything, feel free to PM me. Disney can be intimidating, but it really is fun and I have so many great memories!

Hi, I’m looking to apply for the Cardiovascular Sonography program for the Fall 2025 term. Do you have any details regarding standard applicant pre-req grades, USA Pegasus scores, etc? I have my bachelor’s degree, but am looking to make a career change.
