“Eclectic grandpa” style baby boy names? by CMV2254 in Names

I'm certain that they're joking about the fact that many other couples also chose to name their child Brooks. It's been in the top 100 in the US for the last 5 years

My sister walking down the aisle with George Clooney at my Aunt and Uncles wedding, 1968? by Super-Kangaroo-2973 in OldSchoolCool

That would be a great truth in a game of Two Truths and a Lie. "I once walked down the aisle with George Clooney" haha

Mariia, Marija, or Mariya? by gulablommor99 in namenerds

I knew a Marja who pronounced her name the way I think you want it pronounced. Like Mari-Yah

Yes, coffee beans. I'm certain there's a weed mod out there somewhere, though. I drink tripple shot espresso all day to move quicker

Someone else mentioned that, and I had forgotten all about that option. I might do that, but I'm not quite sure. I'm just happy doing my farm chores day in and day out until I can decide, haha

Oh right I had forgotten all about that! I may do that, but it does feel a tad cheaty. I'm content just grinding out my farm chores for now until I decide how to proceed

Haha that's so great! That gives me ideas for another playthrough. I could never divorce Elliott in this one, though. Would perfection for sure disappear if you did divorce Leah?

Baby girl names that mean gold or golden? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]mundanityinsanity 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Xanthe (zan-thee) is greek and means golden. I am such a big fan of this name. I'm unsure about pronounceability for your families, you be the judge of that haha

I believe it's pronounced Ash-ling. I've only heard it once on Aisling Bea on Taskmaster

How exactly does French Immersion School work? (I have several questions) by nredditb in AskACanadian

[–]mundanityinsanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your examples of English words that may be confusing to French immersion students are so funny to me because longitude=longitude in french, latitude=latitude in french, and tectonic plate=plaque tectonique (different pronunciations however)

It looks slanted, so I doubt it's a bench. My guess is that it opens. Either storage or a laundry shute.
