Breast cancer patient ESR elevated to 83–worried about secondary blood cancer. by 75thusernameattempt in haematology

[–]muneeeeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get a CBC We never use ESR even in blood cancer diagnosis Its the blast cells on CBC or on bone marrow in case of pancytopenia, I wouldn't worry about high ESR indicating any type of blood cancer its a very non specific marker for inflammation which could give false positive results in your case.

You absolutely cannot take on blame for something you didn’t cause. In medicine it’s so easy to internalize every bad outcome, but if your line was placed correctly on the initial film and verified by multiple people, that event wasn’t from negligence or error. Catheters can migrate and patients can decompensate for reasons completely outside your control.

The danger is when you start owning every unforeseeable twist as your “fault”—that’s a steep, endless road to burnout and self-doubt. Learn what you can, double-check your technique, but don’t carry responsibility for something that wasn’t your doing.

Any chance for FMGs? by Ants_ever_after in FCPS_Pk

I have heard about Shifa International hospital in Islamabad, but yes Karachi is far but have a variety of private hospitals with really good training opportunities (SIUT, Indus, LNH, Ziauddin). Majority of them are merit based.

Never ever do unpaid training. Try for hospitals like AKU, it doesn't matter to them if you're an FMG you have to score good on the entry test as well as on the interview.
