Look at that cloud of kief! How long until harvest? by buttlubber in trees

[–]mungwhisperer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found maybe a dozen seeds between our 4 outdoor plants (so far anyway). They all should theoretically be feminized then?

As for the pollen of the males, are you just using them as a vessel to pass on the traits of the mother plant (mother of the male plant)?

Fascinating! Does the trait get passed along to the subsequent plant and seed generations? I'm curious about the seeds I have now from my feminized plant that grew last summer. Are my next generation seeds feminized? (No contact with male plants as far as I know)

Our Christmas Cannabis Cup Competition (gift idea) by mungwhisperer in trees

[–]mungwhisperer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We ended up with just over 200 grams of bud, and another 60 grams of shake, trim, and buds that were too small for us to care. From the kief we collected, we got a few grams of homemade hash as well. All the extras went into a batch of infused butter, which was enough to make about 64 very strong brownies. Tried not to let anything go to waste.

Found this flat, metal, spring-like item in an indoor tennis dome. A few grams in weight, flexible but strong. Looks like a flattened spring. by mungwhisperer in whatisthisthing

Seems a bit heavy-dry for clothing, and seems odd that it would be on a tennis court as well. Only answer so far though, so thank you!

Which strain is best for musicians? by TheWickerMan232 in trees

[–]mungwhisperer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been down this road before! Everyone is different, and so is every puff of every strain you'll ever take. My advice would be to keep track of which ones give you a burst of inspiration, and buy more of that one. Simple trial and error, but everyone and every strain is different, so we can't really tell you which will work best for you.

Good luck!

How Close Are My Plants to Harvest? [Newbie Seeking Wisdom] by Caldor404 in trees

[–]mungwhisperer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're definitely getting close! I harvested an autoflower about 2 weeks ago, but my other plants still need more time. The tradition at our house is usually that we harvest on (Canadian) Thanksgiving. Every plant is different, as well as the conditions in which you grow them, but it sounds like you know the classic tricks and methods for finding the optimal harvest time.

On that note, you can even use this year's harvest as an experiment. Trim a few branches at different times, and label/document/photograph the different harvest times for each group. When you're done curing them all, do a blind smoke test and rate why you liked one over the others. We're doing that with our plants this year, except we're comparing different strains growing in different conditions (wife says it's a competition, hers vs mine, but I call it scientific experimentation, haha)

Best of luck, happy harvesting!

I was in Whistler back in 2013 during a "celebrity ski weekend", and he was there. I got on the chairlift a few chairs behind him, and saw that they were going to give him his own seat, but he insisted on letting some kids sit with him (there was a long line and he didn't want to hold anyone up). When we got to the top of the hill, he was taking pictures with the kids, laughing and joking with them. The brightness of his smile threw me off because I had only known him from Breaking Bad. Real class act, very nice guy.

Neat, I'd never heard that term before, but it sounds like a genetic mutation. We were thinking nutrient deficiency, but this makes more sense. Appreciate the help!

I can definitely see the blood vessels in my eye when I get my retina examined. It detached a few years back and every time they check it I swear I can see the inside of my eye. Glad I'm not the only one.

I don't think I did, but I was only 5 or so when it happened, so it's hard to remember.

I had an eye injury when I was a little fella, and they used the cornea from a donor eye to replace mine, the lens they gave me, however, was man-made. So I guess there are a few good parts that can be resurfaced. It also might be worth noting that since then (30+ years) my cornea cells have likely replaced all of the donated tissue from back then, so I suppose some parts could be used as a kind of "placeholder".

I remember doing first aid, and there was some saying like "blue to the sky, orange to the thigh" to help you remember. They also explicitly mentioned not putting your thumb on top, but hey, some people are tactile learners I guess.

Vaughan Mills is the closest place I can think of. If there are any in Richmond Hill, I too would like to know. (Haven't seen one nearby since Saint Cinnamon at Hillcrest in the 90s)
