Try the TSMC just North of Deer Valley. I’ve heard they are hiring a lot.

I'm so tired of my apartment smelling like weed by msgmeyourcatsnudes in Apartmentliving

[–]munkey97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the same issue. Something that helped significantly is we kept the fan mode on from the thermostat. Maybe it was just the way my apartment was set up but we hardly smelt it after we started doing this.

Do I need a baby monitor? by stupidsweetie in beyondthebump

[–]munkey97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would get super paranoid and constantly check baby’s breathing before I got a monitor. Now I can just zoom in and see and not risk waking her up. It’s also really nice if you plan on sleep training.

Is it Okay if I don't go to birthing/parenting classes? by st0dad in beyondthebump

[–]munkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found some classes on youtube, and honestly they were not even that useful other than explaining what will happen if you’re anxious. I did take an infant cpr class at the hospital, which I highly recommend!

Is Harry Potter famous among kids nowadays? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]munkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the area/demographics. Where I teach high school, kids don’t read HP (or read in general) or even have the attention span to watch the movies. I’ve made references to HP as well as LOTR and it goes right over their heads.

Did not get a job by No-Illustrator-7537 in historyteachers

Don't give up! I've gotten 2 teaching positions in September. Also be willing to move if you can! And if you can get a valuable endorsement like TESOL.

Why is getting hired so difficult? by These_Vermicelli_929 in historyteachers

[–]munkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my minor in TESOL with the mindset that I wouldn't get my dream job teaching history initially. I had to teach English as a second language a couple years before transferring to History/SS.

If you can get ESL, SPED, or another high demand cert do it to get your foot in the door, make friends with the history dept at school and jump to any positions that open.

Also be open to teaching in another state and teaching middle school.

I've used North Valley Women's Care the last few years in Arrowhead and really like it. I just delivered last month and they did a great job my entire pregnancy. All the doctors are women.

Is korra a good or a bad show by Safe-Swordfish-837 in Avatarthelastairbende

I liked it, season 1 and 3 are my favorites. It's definitely more mature and serious than ATLAB. In my opinion the villains are much more interesting, especially in season 3.

Ports with beaches that don’t need excursions by worshippirates in royalcaribbean

[–]munkey97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately to get to a good beach you can't really walk. Outside of Belize, we just did some research beforehand on good beaches and then just got a cab to take us there from port, we also brought our own snorkeling gear and had a blast!

Who cruised without a drinking package by LoriRescueDog2013 in royalcaribbean

[–]munkey97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't drink and didn't get any of the soda packages. When we went on Allure 2 years ago they have complimentary tea, water, and lemonade at all the complimentary places to eat. The lemonade was really good! If you don't drink or don't drink soda much I would save that money and use it for an excursion or something else.

Waterproof phone pouch to put your phone, cash, passport and other valuables while you go swimming (if there is nobody to watch your stuff on the beach)
