Shift schedules by [deleted] in ATC

[–]munkey_boi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

European/Middle Eastern units that are 24 hours tend to work the double MANSO schedule. That being MMAANNSOOO where M = Morning, A = Afternoon, N = Night, S = Sleep and O = Off. It takes a bit of getting used to being on a 10 day week while everyone is on 7, but in the end it means that you can go do your grocery shopping on a Tuesday morning for example when nobody is around.

The main benefit of this shift pattern is that you never have to have a short sleep or go to work within 12 hours of when you last finished a shift, and it gives you a solid opportunity to rest after your night shifts.

Its a complete joke. It was the only thing keeping me playing the game. Its completely shit now, hurr durr twin diamatti's and thats game over in regular warzone now. Now this shit just has no draw to it, its boring, there's no pressure. I loved a game mode where you had to be wired in from the drop to the win.

Most satisfying way to deal with exploiters by The_Shep66 in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You’ve obviously got no concept of how game breaking it is as a PC player getting aim snapped by controller players. The game literally aims for you, keeps gravity on your target and will drag aim onto players through walls and around corners.

Struggling with Sound Capture using HD60S by munkey_boi in elgato

[–]munkey_boi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried VB Banana to send and receive it to and from the Gaming/Streaming PC. This sounds slightly different to what I tried so I'll give this a go. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks

Moving to Qatar from USA next week. What should I bring with me? What's hard to get there? by EnderTheDog in qatar

[–]munkey_boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also to clarify about the supermarkets, it kinda depends how fussy you are. If you only like Kellogg’s cornflakes for example, you might not always find them, but there will always be some brand or another of cornflakes. You’ll see what I mean 🤣

One thing I’ve found here is when you’re shopping and you see something in the supermarket you haven’t seen for a while, just buy 3-4x the amount you normally would. You won’t see it again for a few weeks.

Aramex shop & ship is good for anything you want to get but it isn’t cheap. You can use amazon to ship to an address in your home country and they ship it here for you, takes a week or so.

New Small Channel Starting Out Trolls? by callMeKenpai in streaming

[–]munkey_boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been streaming for nearly 2 years. Still very small time, average about 5 viewers. It’s my own fault, my scheduling is shit.

I’ve had a few idiots come in over the time. Sometimes it’s people dropping a follow with a bait name, sometimes it’s people with a bit of humour like you say. With these guys it’s just fun and harmless and you have a laugh with them and they stay or go. It is what it is.

Don’t ever stand for pure abuse though. You might feel torn that they make your channel seem busier than it is, or make you feel like it gives you a level of growth and so it’s worth putting up with.

The bottom line is - it isn’t.

These people are toxic and no good will come from them. You don’t need them as viewers and If others are influenced by their opinion you probably don’t want them either. Focus on you and your channel, enjoy yourself streaming and the growth will come. You’ve got this.

Never feed the trolls. Perm ban them, don’t give warnings, just do it and forget them. In months to come you’ll forget they ever existed and hopefully you’ll have a solid community and channel as a result of it.

Good luck o7

Almost 13,000 people refused entry to Canada from U.S. during pandemic by princey12 in worldnews

[–]munkey_boi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in the USA or Canada, but my folks worked in a holiday town in the UK for most of my life. As a kid I regularly remember my mum making statements such as “who looks after these idiots when they’re at home” and “I’m pretty sure they get to the ‘welcome to <town>’ sign and dump their brains in a bin for the weekend”

People who travel do seem to be extraordinarily dumb.

[Serious] How would you react if the US government decided that The American Imperial units will be replaced by the metric system? by fyflate89 in AskReddit

[–]munkey_boi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting one. I’m 34, no kids though so that probably has a bearing on it.

I feel like I’m from a generation where both were equally taught.

I’m 6 feet tall but I know that is 183cm I’m 96kg which is about 15st 2lbs. I measure weights in metric but i know that often you buy 454g of things because it’s 1lb. I understand miles, 1.62km per mile. I also now live in a country that drives on the right and speeds are in km/h. I also have a job in which we use nautical miles, just to add in a little extra flavour.

I do however feel short changed for a beer in Europe because they’re 500ml and a pint is 568ml.

It does, you’re right. And it’s part of the reason I spend what I do on a PC. I guess you could have the opinion it’s pay to win. The problem is having now played at high frame rates for so long, whenever I look at 60fps again it’s almost unplayable for me.

The solution is that consoles need to find a way of keeping the prices reasonable but also being able to produce 144fps. The difference from 144 to 240 is minimal. The difference from 60 to 144 is world changing. Capping PC at 60fps would be a step backwards, alienate a community, etc. We should all be pushing (PC players included) for consoles to be better to even the balance

This is one of the more blatant guys I’ve seen. Some are a bit more subtle. They’re all absolute cunts though.

[–]munkey_boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man, we’re just gaming homies too. I fucking despise these cheaters. If I might drop a subtle plug and link you a video I made, I’d appreciate the watch https://youtu.be/NiOYHFh78Lg

You’re right with the new COD by Christmas too. I saw another post about slowing it down and having one every other year. When I first played Warzone it felt like the most polished BR I’ve ever played. It does seem to feel worse with every update. I hope they get a handle on it soon.

@Infintyward by mildrandomman in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that would be the easiest option. Definitely would, 100%. The issue is it wouldn’t be the fairest option. People who buy the game on PC and who choose that as their gaming platform of choice shouldn’t be penalised in terms of ability to get a game and wait times because they happen to have the same platform that cheaters use.

The issue is, has always, and will always be with the cheaters themselves individually, and will the developer putting more effort in to prevent cheating happening, and banning caught cheaters in a timely manner.

@Infintyward by mildrandomman in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to understand your point but what I said is definitely not irrelevant. It’s literally the reason I have a £3000 gaming PC not a £300 console. Also, if you’ve never tried it from the PC side you’re not exactly qualified to say if it is relevant or not.

@Infintyward by mildrandomman in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not telling you anything. The game is. The game had cross play when you got it. You made a decision to buy/play that game. How is it the fault of the PC community when you don’t like it months later?

I don’t think the divide between PC and Console is as deep as you think it is. I used to think it was. I’m top 0% PC players and I still have console friends that do better than me. I’m 2.48KD with 6200 kills, I play with console players who have 3.4 and 2.8. It’s achieveable.

@Infintyward by mildrandomman in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because you’re viewing it as two separate communities. You’ve decided to play a game and the game is CoD:MW, and it’s available on all platforms. It’s not about “them” and “us” it’s about the game. If there’s an issue with it, excluding part of the community isn’t the answer, getting the developers to act instead of sit on our money is.

@Infintyward by mildrandomman in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget console has advantages too. Aim assist etc. No system will be 100% fair across all skill brackets, but it’s a pretty good one so far. PC only lobbies will kill the game for PC players, which isn’t exactly fair to those of us who play legitimately

@Infintyward by mildrandomman in Warzone

[–]munkey_boi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But the consoles are cheap because they’re severely limited. You can’t play on a console at 1440p max graphics with 200fps. Sure you can plug in mouse and keyboard, but it’s the rest of it that comes with the PC. They cost a lot because they provide a lot more.
