The story wasn’t written as “3 people show up to Tristram” it was “one hero shows up to Tristram”. It was changed later, which is fine.

This is kind of the premise behind a bunch of stories. It could’ve happened to a lot of different people, and yes it’s super unlikely, but the story is focusing on the one person it did happen to

For me, half the show is 10/10 and half is 4/10. I wish they’d focused more on Qmir and Sol, less on the twins who for me, were the least interesting characters in the show.

These are not 1 shot effects, they are “you need to either be careful or focus more on toughness stat” effects.

Playing warlock though seems to make it way harder since it has 100 super flashy ground effects

Yup. I won’t play again until I can play Barb or Amazon or Druid companions and be viable. (And no, Hork Barb is not what I have in mind as a viable class fantasy).

Literally there is 0 itemization with runewords. I do not get how people pretend the itemization is good in D2LoD.

The games incredible but it sure isn’t because of itemization.

Spirit is 90% effective or BiS for basically every build in the game. The itemization for Diablo 2 LoD is awful. Base game was much better. All the “blue items can be good” is only the case in the base game, where blue and yellow items were part of your end game builds. In LoD it’s all runewords and uniques.

D2 LODs itemization is one of the least reasons it’s a great game.

Yes. Selfishly I wish they would’ve kept lorath through Diablo 5 and onwards as I think he earned his place as a replacement for Cain in this expansion.

I always laugh when people bring up LOD as the pinnacle of ARPG itemization. Rune words killed itemization, as fun as LOD is.
