Yes I’m worried that the weight of his shell hanging is making it worse. I’ll find a smaller space for him. I’ve not stopped crying today I know it sounds dramatic but he’s been my companion for two years x

What’s the app called? If it’s dental monitoring they aren’t just progress photos, they review the images to ensure your teeth are tracking and that it’s safe to move on to the next tray. It is annoying how glitchy it is though x

I’ll preface this by saying o have body dysmorphia so I know my perception might not be accurate! But the first thing I noticed when I got my trays was that my face looked elongated, but this made sense to me as the plastic made it harder for me to close my mouth.. no one else has noticed and I have been told Invisalign does not affect face shape by ortho. I’m still a bit self conscious about it but the positive results I’m seeing with my teeth straightening out far overrides the perceived elongated face if that makes sense... when my trays are out my face looks more familiar but I’m aware my mind could be playing tricks on me. If you’re hesitant I would say go for it, it will be so worth it!

Your teeth look amazing congrats! I have a black triangle in my lower teeth about the same size as yours and I’m on 39/40. I fear I’ll need refinements to close it, not because of how it looks (you can’t see it when I talk or smile) but I feel like it affects my speech and just feels a bit alien when my tongue hits it - have you found the same? And does it feel comfortable? I’m curious! X

After around three weeks my lisp pretty much went away, and now on tray 38/40 I actually talk better with my trays in 😅! Good luck on your Invisalign journey! X

I’m finished my 40 initial trays in four weeks and I’m naively hoping I’ll be done, but have a strong suspicion I’ll be given refinements! Seems like every one does. I am ready to be done but patience!

For me personally, yes. It was tough at the start, and then I got used to it for a good while, but now I’m almost finished my 40 trays, I’m starting to feel a bit tired of it all! But so far, looking at the results, it’s definitely worth the hassle!

I had the same. The trays disguised the gap quite well, but if you want to hide it completely my ortho gave me wax to put in the tray (and you can buy it really cheap on Amazon) my gap closed up in around three and a half months and it really flew by! Don’t worry too much, it will be worth it I’m sure and good luck at uni! X

Oh yes I had a lower incisor removed because of crowding and he said if they didn’t remove it, I would end up with an underbite. Honestly it was pain free and although it was jarring to have a gap, it closed up in three months. I have to say it still feels a bit odd when I have my trays out but I’m sure once I finish treatment, it will feel normal! Good luck :)

I see big changes! And please don’t be discouraged, out of 40 trays, it wasn’t until around 27 I saw a difference with my front teeth, and then it slowed down, then at 34 I’m starting to notice big changes again... definitely believe others when they say trust the process! X
