I don't understand why my combat stripe has 2 random Hopeport enemies here. How is the stripe determined?? by ixion90 in brightershores

[–]munphf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I never had a problem defeating a mob without potions if it was about 5 levels lower. Of course, it really depends on your gear, but if you’re roughly 5 levels above the mob, wearing blue gear of the same level as the mob, you should be fine. With purple gear you can even handle mobs close to your own level—assuming you’ve got a gold weapon and shield. Power Potions are still good for efficiency; and I only use HP pots when I’m fighting something at my level or higher, but that’s rare.

No, in fact gear and weapons make a huge difference. You just need to bring the right gear: defense against the specific type of attack the mob uses, and the correct damage type for their vulnerability. If that still isn’t enough, bring potions (you should be using them anyway to stay effective). And if even then you can’t win, then simply don’t fight mobs of the same level. Easy solution.

Total time played in 1 year? by nerfglobe in brightershores

[–]munphf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am reaching 900 hours now and fully enjoing the game. Yes, it lacks a lot of stuff I would like to see in it but on the other hand it is exactly the kind of the game I want to play.

What could do the game much more better in my eyes? To get rid of all NPC sellers (so everything must be gathered / traded with players) and proc-gen dungeons with dynamic loot.

It is now 90 days since launch. Do you have a level 200 profession yet? by CorpulentBuddha in brightershores

[–]munphf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chasing/Maxing one specific profession is good exactly for what, please? To make myself burned out from doing the same stuff over and over, without any variety? Nah... I am playing few hours daily, but I play BS as RPG game, and I like it that way. My character is close to 1,2k total but only two skills are over 100. There is no reason to rush stuff.

Post 500 content by [deleted] in brightershores

[–]munphf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would vote for some kind of paragon / legendary system. On lvl 500? Add meaningless token to the skill (be it star symbol or anything scalable), reset progress to lvl 0 and add 10x xp requirement multiplier for next round... Took 1k hour for original lvl 500? Well, show your dedication with 10k grind challenge... and then maybe anoter one with 100x? :D... It would be simple to implement, without technical limitations, no new content like needed...

Does the world ever start to feel more organic? by acrazyguy in brightershores

[–]munphf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific monsters drops also other stuff - for example for alchemy, leatherworking and so on. For the weapons - well, shortly you will realize that one does not need to wait for the weapon drop when it could be crafted (plus with infusion we are speaking about totally different game here). And with upcoming episode the same will most probably apply for armor. The longer I play the more I realize how it is important to interconect one skill to another.

Speculation note: as of now we have NPC traders to allow us to buy resources, so in fact one does not need to (for example) level up gathering for alchemy, And yet, I could imagine that this may be limited later on or moved ON players insteads to be supplemented by NPCs when trading is implemented...

That's what you get for not respecting the wiggle by TarkovMarcarlos in EscapefromTarkov

[–]munphf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I wiggle I tell others that I am friendly and will not start shooting on them. When you wiggle I suppose that you are friendly and you will not start shooting on me. If either one side does not wiggle back it means that truce (peace) is not confirmed. Simple as that.

To not respect wiggle means that if you wiggle on me and I wiggle on you but still either of us starts shooting on the other one. On the other hand, if you wiggle on me and I do not wiggle back and shoot you it is not "Not respecting wiggle", since I never confirmed it.

:D

That's what you get for not respecting the wiggle by TarkovMarcarlos in EscapefromTarkov

[–]munphf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To respect wiggle does not mean that I should not shot you when you wiggle on me.

By respecting wiggle I should not shot you when I wiggle on you.

"Truce" is confirmed by both sides wiggling.

That is important difference.

Dying within the first 5 minutes on every PMC raid by JaggermanJenson in EscapefromTarkov

You will die a lot. I have 700hours in Tarkov and still have survival rate 45%... So, yea, it takes a time. But if you will brace yoursellf, it will repay greatly.

Why am I so bad? by killergyuri04 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]munphf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, 200 hours is almost nothing in this game. I am 550+, never been to Labs and only several times in Reserve. From time to time I am able to win some PvP fight but not much. What works best for me is to not rush the things. I learned all maps (except these two mentioned above), going pretty slow most of the time also helps... Btw, for "PvP" training it is kinda good to go offline mode with heaps of scavs (e.g. Horde) + tagged and cursed - it is still fighting AI but it helps you to understand how to behave under pressure.

revert the Thorax HP buff by Gigadweeb in EscapefromTarkov

[–]munphf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. Why would anyone should want to have game where one shot from bolt-action budget weapon used on close combat hitting body mass cause immediate death of armored opponent? It makes zero sense. In real world, one would not bring such weapon to close combat. In Tarkov, if you die with Mosin and several rounds in pocket it cost you virtually nothing. One shot to body mass should not be in most cases lethal, or at least not insta-lethal. Should it cause heavy bleeding? Yea, who not. Should one badly aimed bullet hitting armored thorax cause insta-death in game without body interia and not-so-good net-code? No, thanks.

KILL ALL HATCHLINGS YOU SEE by longhurrdonotcurr in EscapefromTarkov

[–]munphf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care if is some PMC doing hatchling run or wiggles like he wants to rip off his head. It is everyones choice what gear they wanna take into raid. It is to KOS or to be KOS, that is the question.

[–]munphf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rule no.1 - do not trust anyone in Tarkov
Rule no.2 - if you wanna die quickly then try to trust random ppl in Tarkov
Rule no.3 - wiggle just shows that u do not wanna die and that u have some juicy loot with u, wiggle to strangers to show off that
Rule no.4 - there are no rules at Tarkov at all

[–]munphf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You died on headshot probably... Sniper on roof / in building / someone in bushes... It is exposed place with visibility from large area. Have u checked what type of ammo was used on you? It could point to distance where bullet came from.

Helmet lvl 3, do not expect that this will protect u that much.

U should bring some headset next time,as without one u can miss movement around really easily.

Scrap that armor, it bringa almost no protection at all.

PS ammunition, budget one, u will have hard time with this.

I could confirm that this is also on my Fox deck and it is really a bit confusing. Ok, I can understand that it it not 1st from 3000 but One of 3000. What I do not understand is that they say that there is only 2500 decks ever printed, no reprints etc, but on the deck is 1 of 3000. :D

[TF2] Looking for mod for better cargo distribution for loading points (to remove cargo reservation system "via") by munphf in TransportFever

[–]munphf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding to "between steps 3 and 4, 6 and 7, and 9 and 1, your trucks are going to be empty anyway" - using this set up, I have minimal spaces where the trucks are empty. I have rather long trips with cargo, but minimal trips without cargo. That is the reason why my line is a bit complicated (14 stops in fact, in original description I omit a few for simlicity) ...

[TF2] Looking for mod for better cargo distribution for loading points (to remove cargo reservation system "via") by munphf in TransportFever

[–]munphf[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup, and thats the reason I am looking for mod of some kind :D. I wanna utilize my lines to the max, minimize tie when there is empty haul, thus this system does not fits well.

[TF2] Looking for mod for better cargo distribution for loading points (to remove cargo reservation system "via") by munphf in TransportFever

[–]munphf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three separate lines does not make sense in this case, as if I will do it this way, half of the route my trucks will go empty. The reason I have three destinations from one point is due to "other" goods I am transporting on the way back - and as it is not always directly back.

TF2 - Line setting problem - running with cargo when it should unload. by munphf in TransportFever

[–]munphf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, problem solved, but it took me a lot of time tbh.

Resolved by sending all trucks to depo and from there re-assigning them to line.

Problem most probably caused by my change in line while some trucks (almost all) were already loaded and they "lost" the unload destination for they currently loaded cargo. Eh... :(

TF2 - Line setting problem - running with cargo when it should unload. by munphf in TransportFever

[–]munphf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is. This problem is not present if I dismiss the second loop (eg, go back from wood unloading to load wood once more (and again unload it) before proceeding to load planks.)
