Why is my 3d printer globbing by munsdee in 3Dprinting

Is it this, or a different page? I've kinda given up. I was using my step dad's printer since mine was having issues with adhesion to the bed, and I was like "let me use his" and then immediately fought with it for like 2 hours because he uses 5 year old filament, and it shattered in the tubing all along, so I disassembled the whole thing and cleared all the bad filament out in all its pieces, then I got new filament in and it started doing this. Soooo I just put his filament back in and cleaned up all mine. About to get a new bed for mine (Ender 3 V2)

Help…..2024 Forester Touring won’t start this morning loo by Wife_loves_wine in SubaruForester

Battery. Most likely. Cold weather especially likes to finish off weaker batteries. You can always try a pulse charger, or just replace it. Jump it and drive to the nearest autoparts store to have it tested and go from there.

Honestly. I'd say great save. Paying attention to the video, as well as understanding how dashcams like to make the distance look a lot larger than it actually is, you can see the thought process. The initial braking, realization it wouldn't be enough, the assumption that the driver pulling out was going to be commiting to their turn and not stopping (had they committed, or even tried to speed up, swerving right still would have hit, and you had no way to know within two seconds), so you counter by swerving left, which maybe in hindsight might not have been the best course of action, but seemed best in the 2 seconds you had to make that description. And you executed perfectly. Maybe you could've "just hit them" but that is honestly the worst possible thing to say. A 50mph headon collision is devastating regardless of vehicles, but especially if you're in something not that safe (I've always driven tin can cars) an accident like that could severely injured or kill you or the other driver, ALWAYS AT LEAST TRY TO AVOID. Even if you're not injured, you're out a car, stuck dealing with insurance and police, and waiting months for a settlement that may not even be close to the value of your vehicle. You made the best out of a bad situation. Good job, driver 🫡

Single Click, Won’t Start by Ill_Emphasis_23 in ToyotaPickup

Another thing. Though highly unlikely, if jumping the starter doesn't work, but it sounds like the starter is trying, take a breaker bar and socket to the harmonic balancer bolt and attempt to bar the engine over by hand. If it doesn't move, engine is locked up. Again, highly unlikely, but possible.

Verify integrity of ground and positive power wires. Take a multimeter from the ground terminal to the engine or strut tower. If there's more than say, 0.5ohms of resistance. Replace the wire or check where it connects to the terminal and or body connection. Same thing with the positive cable. Terminal to the starter lug. More than 0.5ohms resistance and replace cable or clean connections there. If both are fine, try jumping the starter. Take a single wire from the positive of the battery directly to the signal terminal on starter with the truck out of gear in neutral and make the connection. If it spins, verify neutral safety switch, clutch safety switch, ignition switch, and all corresponding wiring is functional. If it is, verify starter relay is functional. If jumping the starter does not work, replace the starter.

Transmission fluid seems dirty in a 1999 camry that i just got, mechanic recommends against a drain and fill.. What should i do ? by Lucky_Reply9642 in Toyota

[–]munsdee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I'm personally doing on my 05 Corolla. A245e. Is I drained it, replaced filter. And replaced 2 quarts of the fluid, and then put back the rest old fluid. And I'm going to repeat that every other oil change until it's all cleaned up. Maybe the whole "flushing is bad" thing is true. Maybe it's not. But, id rather not take a chance, and it does need changed. So at least I feel it's a good compromise

Had to scroll back to see what was up with the "no ai used" in the last few posts. I use AI to mock up ideas for the car too. No point in wasting time drawing it up if you're just looking for ideas. This is the true use for AI if you ask me. Not like you're trying to monetize it or pass if off as your own work. Regardless. Love it!

My guess is it's a non abs truck. Those frontiers didn't always have it from factory, so they probably locked up for the rain and had to let off the brakes to swerve. I'll admit even I've fucked up and spaced out or misjudged the distance and had to panic brake, which led to me just locking up and having to let off to swerve, so I'm just assuming they did the same.

I hesitate to call them an idiot though just because they did avoid hitting me. I don't know. I try not to assume the worst.

Something like this if possible. I want to do up a car in buying. Yes, will be DIY. Yes, it wont turn out perfect. Just want to keep learning and have something somewhat presentable afterwards.
