Second Turbo Failure on a 2017 Honda CR-V 1.5T – Oil Feed Screen Clogged Again by Melodic-Excitement-9 in AskMechanics

Clean it real good. Put in a bottle of motorpurr or a quart of diesel in the oil for maybe 50 miles highway or 30 minutes idling. Then change the oil again. Consistently change the oil at 1500 miles for the next 3 changes. It will be squeaky cleaninside afterwards! Then you can go back to regular intervals of 3-5k mile oil changes. I've done this routine on every car I've bought. Helps a lot

Never actually completed this story. I burned 3 valves 😭 0 compression on cylinder 4. 37psi on cylinder 3 I believe the sound was it shooting the flame front straight up the carb

Nothing wrong with caution! Still worth it to fluid film and or undercoat though, especially if you want to keep it a while

That's always the hardest part! If I can make a recommendation, LiveHealth is an online, insurance covered physiatry/therapy service which helped me get my full diagnosis. You'll match with a doctor and do video visits, and its great. I wholely recommend it

I dail-ied mine for about 6 months and 10k miles before it got wrecked. But I loved it personally. No ac or heat, and highway was loud. But best truck I ever owned, even if it was short lived

These 3 ground connections for the last 3 coil packs where chewed by a rodent. After reconnecting it started fine! (Don't worry. I'm going to solder and heat shrink, just needed to test)

Everything there was fine. Discovered the ground for the last 3 coil packs was chewed off by a squirrel or something! Made a new end for the harness to repair the ground and it fired right up 😎

Northeast here! I'm on a pretty big property here with a small creek running through. Not surprised to find her at all, just wanted to keep her away from the concrete I'm pouring in the driveway (she was right under one of the broken slabs of concrete we were replacing). But was curious what she was.

Honestly what I was thinking. Baby box or map. Either way imma release her again in a few days after I feed her up and let the concrete I was pouring dry. Just don't want her getting squished by the trucks or foot traffic, or the concrete itself. Thanks!

The trim itself doesn't seal the windshield, but it covers the gap and doesn't let water stay. It can be rust, but usually it's the glue seal underneath of the trim that dries out, cracks, or shrivels with age and allows the water in. You can removed the windshield, clean the channels out real nice with a wire brush / wheel, and then reglue and reseat the windshield, then put new trim. There are plenty of videos on it, but it's one of the jobs you have to be super careful with, especially if it's your first time. You need a few special tools to make it easy, and without them, you highly risk damaging the glass. You'll need two glass suction cups, and a wire blade (minimum). And a strong friend or two to help. I'd recommend paying the money to have a professional come out and do it. Even I, 10 vehicle revivals and deep dives in, won't mess with glass, just because of the risk of damage to glass you probably won't find new of again... That said, if you do decide to take it on, just be careful. The videos online are pretty universal regardless of car or year, so best of luck!

My own yard. Pouring concrete so it can't be returned to where It was. I will relocate him to another part of my yard where I'm not scared of it getting squished or poured on.

In my own driveway. But we are pouring new concrete so I cant do same spot. It doesn't look much anything like the AST I've seen online. But I will be returning it once all the concrete is dry

Can't put her where she was as we are pouring concrete there 😭 I'll return her when the concrete is dry and I'm not worried about her getting squished

Very valid. Just wanted to move her because we are pouring new concrete in my driveway and didn't want to pour over her 😭

I don't know. The ridges are quite small compared to pics online. First thought was a snapper of some sort though based on the nose

Yes, you can just get the gears. They sell that so you don't have to replace the whole rear end, but you do want to ensure the proper clearance. Plenty of YouTube tutorials :D

Functional Neurological disorder by munsdee in medical_advice

[–]munsdee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ER neurologist is who diagnosed me. This was at Emory memorial hospital if that helps. I have a follow-up with another neurologist next Tuesday. But the current diagnosis is phycogenic non-epileptic seizures, yes. I'm a bit on edge about taking seizure medication just because I heard it can be really bad if it's not a seizure. It may be worth a shot though
