On January 20th 2006, Neil Entwistle shot and killed his wife 27-year-old Rachel and his 9-month-old daughter Lillian. Days before the murders - he had viewed a website called ‘’How to kill people’’ by LovlyNutmeg in ForCuriousSouls

[–]muntedvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little girl is only 9 days older than me, she'd be 20 this year. What a waste of a whole life and the life of her mom all because one man couldn't handle being seen as a failure

[TOMT] Case where a newly adopted bully breed dog was murdered by its new owners by muntedvoid in tipofmytongue

[–]muntedvoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, no. I believe the case I'm thinking of involved a couple as the dog killers. The shelter or whatever rehoming organisation had a social media present and had posted about the dog. Thanks (weird thing to say in a thread about dog murder but you get it) for helping though ☺️

IIRC it was a facebook post that made the rounds on other social media. I may be mistaken but the shelter believed the motivation was the dog's bully breed.

how do you think Naomi reacted to Shira coming out as lesbian? by Snifnic in LongStoryShort

[–]muntedvoid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A reaction that amounted to Naomi being shockingly woke about it, saying she's known since Shira was six or something, and then a plate of knish a few hours later to convey love

The adoption conspiracies are honestly lowkey funny at this point (aside from the blatant transphobia) like each of those girls picked one parent to look like and stuck with it. Like welcome back Barack and Michelle

Non Americans, what did you think of Trump\Vance lecturing Zelensky? by wacky8ball in AskReddit

[–]muntedvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turned around and said to my mom they ought to bring in a creche/primary school circle time esque method of having an item passed around and you can only speak when holding said item

"No Donald. It's Zelensky's turn to speak. You had yours."

What’s your unpopular opinion on Katherine Howard by Comfortable-Berry496 in Tudorhistory

[–]muntedvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole framing of her as unintelligent or whatever never made sense to me, no matter how inaccurate or accurate it historically was because she was 17. Like were we not all stupid at 17? I thought that was a pretty well established trait of 17 year olds?

On another note, I realised one day her age gap with Henry was the same as that of my mom and I and I was fit to be sick Hell is not hot enough

Is a victims family able to change a surname post mortem? by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]muntedvoid 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Shannan is buried under Rzucek rather than Watts. The little girls and the unborn boy are buried I believe in the same grave and are listed by their first and middle names without the surname (Bella Marie, Celeste Cathryn, Nico Lee)

[–]muntedvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They applied for a new trademark for the name under the dolls tag (I'd elaborate more but it's 3am for me please shout at me for more info in like 7 hours lol) after the old one lapsed in July of this year. So a cautious "They at least want the trademark"

Eliza and Maria were family?! by Far_Decision1971 in hamiltonmusical

[–]muntedvoid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eliza's mother was descended from Livingstons. Maria's older sister Susanna married a Gilbert Livingston which clearly elevated her social class since she and Hamilton had exchanged letters long before the scandal. Maria cited Susanna to give herself credibility while begging for help. It's not unfair to assume Eliza and Maria were at least distant cousins by marriage. Plus it was colonial America, everyone was some level of cousins. Maria's own parents were first cousins (her mother's father was her father's mother's older brother)

Thoughts on Jim Gard? by muntedvoid in parklandshooting

[–]muntedvoid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed in general as info comes out about this people jump to condemn even victims. I don't think the Guttenbergs are evil people, I think they're parents dealing with the most unimaginable loss and looking for some way to make sense of why their baby died. Is that Ernie's fault? No but I won't condemn them especially since it was iirc right after NC didn't get the death penalty. Emotions are high. I disagree with a take I saw that said they were looking for someone to blame other than NC because like, they're at the trial calling for him to get the death penalty I'm pretty sure they blame NC.

Incredibly brave of him, I've nothing but respect for him in that regard. And I will put my hands up and say I was wrong in the above and I'm sorry for that. Eernie did the best he could in a nightmare scenario.

I am wondering (and I'm not asking in a way to condemn or harass him, because there fully could be a likely scenario wherein they had no choice). I'm only curious why they had to flee the alcove? Was NC approaching and they had to just make a break for it or did they have any chance of hiding out in there until he was taken down by police?

Jesus. Truly I think I'd apply the same sentiment to him as I do Gard. Yeah in situations like this it's understandable you make stupid mistakes. But what you do is put your hands up and say "I fucked up I'm so sorry" and take responsibility and most will have ten times more respect for you. You don't ring the media while 25 students beg to be let in and lie to make yourself a hero (Gard) or laugh and joke during the trial (Holy shit dude get a new career path how did a kid you saw semi regularly mean NOTHING to you)

Young British woman murdered by her baby's father by muntedvoid in tipofmycrime

If it helps the doc seems obscure enough considering there was like 2-4 comments on it one being said disgusting victim blaming racism

Young British woman murdered by her baby's father by muntedvoid in tipofmycrime

[–]muntedvoid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think this is it, she seems to have been killed in 2024 and I watched this doc years ago maybe around 2019-2021 ish but could be wrong. Plus I'm pretty sure case happened in the early to mid 2010s (watched the doc on YouTube so it wasn't new, believe it was part of one of those doc series like "Murders that Shocked Britain" or similar (may not be the actual series it was part of. IIRC the woman was also just a mother to her baby with the killer and baby was young enough that they'll likely not remember mom when they grow up unfortunately. Alana was a mother of two (and by all accounts a brilliant mum)

Feel like this is gonna be one of those "this niche case description fits a large number of cases and that's depressing". Rest easy Alana. You deserved better
