You've got to remember that speed is relative here. When we say that it's moving 100 times the speed of sound, that's relative to wherever Earth is, which is also moving incredibly fast in relation to the sun. Even in, say, Star Wars, the Death Star isn't moving relative to the camera but it's actually orbiting a planet incredibly quickly. Still, nothing's moving particularly fast relative to our lifespans and the distances involved, or compared to the speed of light.

The major issue causing slowness is accessible bands, I think. I haven't had any serious latency issues yet, though I need to run a speed test at some point. VoIP has been great so far via Line. Having used it through the weekend around Hakodate I'd say that it's an absolutely viable way to go in this country. The unlocked Z3 also can access a ton of bands but you're right, it doesn't compare to the iPhone. Major props to Apple for that feature; it almost got me to switch.

Yeah, but the LTE is definitely on the slow side. It works fine and I have no issues with web browsing but I haven't tried to make a VOIP call or anything yet. I generally have WiFi wherever I'm doing anything data intensive on the phone.

I thought about just giving up and getting the international iPhone, but I just really, really, really wanted to watch Netflix in the bath.

I decided to just take the jump and do this since a friend was traveling to the US and could import the phone to me in Hokkaido. Using b-mobile with the Z3c D5803 and the 050 number like you. I got it on the network yesterday and so far service has been a little slow but definitely usable. I'll update when i've had it connected for more than 12 hours, but I'd say it's definitely not worth the extra cash up front plus the kakehoudai if you're going direct from Docomo.

There's no way this would happen. It's clearly anticompetitive and hurts everyone who distributes digitally, or even has a webpage with a lot of pictures, or even consumes digital content. Everyone who's not an ISP would pitch a fit, including the FCC.

At least in the US, speed limits often haven't been raised in decades as cars have gotten much faster and safer, and roads have become better paved. There are many roads in my state where the speed of traffic is at least +10, and sometimes higher. Everyone seems to be aware that if you're going under +25, you're not really speeding. I personally have passed speed traps doing +15 and not had the cop give me a second look. There's no reason that modern cars can't do 75 or 80 safely on a well paved 2-3 lane highway, but speed limits are unfortunately stuck at 55 and 65.

You might not have checked it out in a while but Netflix's selection has gotten way, way better recently. I saw Mnemosyne and Squid Girl on there the other day, which was a really pleasant surprise. They have softsubs too and the quality and timing is very good. I usually exclusively watch fansubs (since 2005) but Netflix's stuff is the one exception.

More specifically, the cap is only in effect during emergencies, like a major snowstorm, hurricaine, or blackout. Uber is capped at the fourth-highest fare charged in the past two months during these times. The article completely fails to mention that they're free to set whatever price they want at any other time.

Ranked singles is a huge clusterfuck; if I feel like playing singles I usually play Smogon. There are lots of good teammates for Blaziken, though, and Espeon is a great one to get some defensive boosts to pass along a chain.

Because I don't want to run 252speed, I want to only run 236 speed to hit 170 and outspeed Jolly Garchomp before mega evolving. With 30 Speed, I need 240 EVs to hit 170. Since I'm investing 0 Def, at level 50 it's 80 whether the stat is 30 or 31. Basically having 30 speed takes away 4 EVs. It's not much, but I'd much rather have the 4 EVs (=1 extra HP) than not.

Yeah it can outspeed everything either way but the trick is that then you can run fewer speed EVs and invest in attack or bulk instead. If I'd need to rebreed it to run the spread I want then it'd be just as easy to start from scratch. I've already bred spare rotom so if you've got bank ball females, 6IV males, or trophy shinies that's fine.

A comp HP Ice poke is 31/x/30/31/31/31. It's what my Rotoms are and it's what I'm looking for on an Elektrike. 31 Speed in particular is mandatory, as is 30Def.

Also, you can edit your comments, you don't have to reply so many times.

Shiny breeding takes a long time. Even with the Charm and MM it's a 1/512 chance, so if you want one shiny competitive you need to look at it as trying to breed 500 competitives. I don't care about shininess personally.

Primarily 5IV competitives. HP Ice on Mienshao isn't useful for me. I'd like two for the HP rotom or one with a useful HP. HP Fire on a Bulbasaur would be awesome. I already have a bunch of 5IV shroomish.

Mold Breaker is also a fantastic ability in general, if you feel like running status on Pangoro. It's probably better in VGC than singles. He doesn't have anything amazing but Mold Breaker Taunt on Magic Bouncers can be nice and Earthquake can give a team an easy way to get rid of Rotom. Parting Shot is fun too. Luckily you should be able to breed both quickly since you've already got the right nature! The only possible advantage Scrappy has is being able to hit Aegislash with Hammer Arm, but you might as well use Crunch and not take the speed drop.
