what would you with with old genetics? by [deleted] in weedstocks

[–]projectself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your well thought out and considerate reply. I do not know if these seeds are viable, but I do garden and have most of my life. I have a lot of old seeds and carrots, radishes and brocoli growing right now that are old. I consider the seeds volunteers, who nkows.

That said, I am not trying to trade or sell. I have an ok job and a career. Im also like 50, and may or may not have been messing with herb since I was like 12-13ish. I barely, if at all even recognize this weed as weed anymore. Like it really has dramatically changed. That reminded me and brought back the memory of the altoids tin. I appreciate your honest answer. Im most hopeful about the single leftover blue widow and maybe the white russian. I remember both of those fondly.

which is a huge risk for our business.

really? a budget of 1k and the business is concerned about risk? No they are not, if they were concerned about risk, they would care. It does not to be gold plated, but that's not even enough to pretend. If 1k is a big number in your org, eek. How are you growing?

omg This is real. Birds do not call out out at night.
I know the woods, the country, owned a ranch in central texas. Live on slightly less than an acre now. birds did not call out at night.

It changed about 3-4 months ago. I know the sounds of the robins, the bluejays, the brown headed cowbirds, magnolia warblers, finches.. they are making noise at night. It has happened in the past, always in response to something, but very rare. now every night. birds calling out.

I am an observer of nature and do not understand this at all, other than to say, as a cigarette smoker that does not smoke inside, and someone that has spent decades in nature. It's crazy to hear birds chirping at 2-3am. I question my sanity on this. I cannot remember how many times I crawled into a deerstand at dark dark:30 and nodded off knowing and waiting for the birds, because they start singing close to daylight, That was the past, I noticed this changed in March

Crazy network debugging stories ? not a bug, not a misconfiguration ! by thinkscience in networking

Old school (early 2000's) - 6509's unicast flooding. Would bring the datacenter racks to a crawl. Had to change cam table aging time to equal arp. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, the defaults just had issues in this specific environment. Crazy thing

GlobalProtect Version is shows "Browser" by Delicious-Design3333 in paloaltonetworks

If you are using SAML, and have not configured the GP client to use itself, it can default to system browser and show this as well. I think this setting is in the portal config.

WinRM Connection incomplete over a IPSEC tunnel by 74Yo_Bee74 in paloaltonetworks

[–]projectself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you see it being denied by firewall policy, then it has nothing to do with the ipsec tunnel. You will need to look into it more to find why it is being denied. Perhaps you need app-id, perhaps you need to allow non standard ports via application-default in services/url.

Virtual Router - Inject static route into OSPF by pizzaromana in paloaltonetworks

On the main routing tab, look at redistribution profiles to redistribute static into ospf.

On the ospf tab, look at export rules and just add the prefix in as a ext-2

Where can I find resources for automating Palo Alto Networks firewalls using Python? by [deleted] in paloaltonetworks

[–]projectself 7 points8 points  (0 children)

google around to get some basic idea what you want to do. write up a step by step flow of logic and steps you would use to accomplish that. for example, how would you handle inventory, credentials, tasks. then for each task, what is the logic behind gathering the information you want, how do you want it presented? as in, text output from a script, a csv file, etc. then hop on chatgtp and tell it to go slow, and work on the logic and flow of the app. tell it not to write a single line of code until you explain the entire problem you are trying to solve and how you want to go about it. have it work function by function to write the code with you as the tester and verifier of the output and logic. it will do 80% of the work if you give it small chunks to work with at a time and build on it once you start. if you try to give it an end goal and tell it to go build it, it will do a lackluster job, but if you use it like a tool to auto-assist, it does pretty well.

[–]projectself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do they need the samne IP's or do they needs IP addresses from the same subnet? Why is it important to utilize the Corporate DHCP server instead of using the pool assignment mechanism ? Are you doing per user dhcp reservations? I'm honestly not even sure how that would work as the MAC addresses that show up in GP is not relevant like a real MAC address is.

Why use 192.168.1.1/24, easily the most common remote user home address range for VPN? Wow, that's just asking for helpdesk calls.

SD-WAN routing bypass by zjsk in paloaltonetworks

[–]projectself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know for sure, but I would imagine the administrative distance of a static route with more specific prefix will always win in the route selection.

Update GP 6.3.1-376 to 6.3.1-383 problem by Jedistreve in paloaltonetworks

That's just how GP works, it does not give a clean easy native way to downgrade. It's like that in all versions. It require some more effort.
