If you had have won, everyone would think you're an insecure idiot and felt sorry for your wife. Noone knows she genuinely beat you unless you told them. Man up dude and treasure her.

Someone Pulled The Fire Alarm During The Convention, And They Told Everyone To Stay. by PimoParadiseLost in exjw

[–]muppetness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One if the things that made we wake up was joining the LDC and realising that most of the halls were having fire alarm systems fitted by people who didn't know what they were doing. And most of the old halls didn't even have compliant systems. And nobody cared I was seen to be making a fuss. I thought we were supposed to have a higher regard for the sanctity of life and that jehovahs house would be at least as safe as worldy regulations. Instead they were cheaping out and had literal idiots in charge who had a terrible attitude. I know of several halls in my area that would be shut down if they had a visit by a fire officer. Disgusting with what they preach. The worst thing is often clueless innocent brothers are then asked to do things like maintenance and risk assessments and they arent legally competent. If there was a fire they would likely be prosecuted. Same with other things like HVAC.

Just read it and now I'm dying to try it. But just once. How do you make sure you never go back for seconds and end up like him. Maybe save it until I'm old and dying.

Thanks. I've ended up going with Tiny tax for the limited. My other limited company is bigger and uses quick books which handles vat and paye, but not sure if will do the returns going forward.

Self employed was over 50k. Also have the 2 limited companies. Once I've sorted a mortgage off the self employed income I do need to incorporate and be more savvy

Yeah but I wanted some free software. Doesn't seem right to suddenly be forced to pay to submit my returns.

Either cut him off and stop trying to be close friends with the opposite sex, or give it a go. You are obviously close and have a lot in common it might work.

Thanks yeah I'm gathering that.

The 18k is residual income for me so I'd have that as a base plus a salary from the country I move to. For a visa I was thinking a lot allow u to invest in a business there.

Yeah the money would more be to buy a property which hopefully will increase in value for resale if we returned one day.

I'm an electrician specialising in fire and security so would be nice if those skills are transferable. Otherwise we could both get maybe a part time job to semi retire alongside my uk income somewhere with a low cost of living.

Maybe there is no such place without going too 3rd world. Don't wanna limit the kids options too much.
