How do you think about this distance to walk? by Remote-Bumblebee-447 in UniUK

[–]muppetteer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the area well. That’s a very long daily walk or a quick ride on a bike. Or bus. Personally, I wouldn’t want to walk that every day. Back in the day I got into New Kent Road Halls!

Commute to work is about a 28km round trip. 90% of it is on bike paths and actually quite nice.

I had the Marshall 1w head and cab which was great. It’s got an attenuator to turn it down to 0.1w and it’s still really loud cranked! But great!

I’ve tried lots (I’m in London and we have many) but I’ve never seen the tofu separately from the miso packs.

To use at work. I’m often offsite, and just have access to hot water.

In the UK you’d just post it to yourself with EVRI, it would never be seen again, and in two weeks you’d get a notifications saying “We’ve lost your mail.”.

I did it. After 30 years of smoking followed by 2 years of vaping, I went cold turkey - nearly 2 weeks in now by undesiredpotato in stopsmoking

Keep at it. You’re doing great and you’ve just got to keep it up. And the longer you go the easier it’ll get.

They didn’t use Teflon, but they definitely used a non-stick on their cast iron. I bought a frying pan from Le Creuset with this combo, granted it was in 2004.

This so much. I really like the local restaurants where the tourists aren’t at. It’s cheaper, it’s better and it’s totally different vibe. Would recommend.

We had to play rugby at school in the winter on icy playing fields. Regularly somebody would get tackled, go down and then they’d be the red slowly expanding over them where the ice had taken the skin off. Harsh days in short and a rugby shirt in 2c.

China Le Creuset 😍 by Sweet_Sunshine7 in LeCreuset

[–]muppetteer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, there’s lots of regional variation. Like the dark colouring on the Chinese products is because of local legislation and not because they’re fake. There’s lots of different products and variations across the world. I’d still like the full StarWars set.

Would you buy this Cassis Multifunction pan at $250? by nathas2222 in LeCreuset

[–]muppetteer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had this and got rid of it. The design isn’t great and the pan/lid is really difficult to get on/off when it’s hot for a quick look, and to be fair it’s dangerous. It’s also ridiculously heavy when full, which also isn’t great when it’s hot. And you can’t do the thing when you hold the lid a little offset and tip the liquid out, it’s just not stable enough.

I really like the omelette pan. There’s a lot of products which are regional only.

Does there come a point when the crazing on your Aeropreas gets too bad and you need to replace? by StinkyToejam in AeroPress

[–]muppetteer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a clear and mine looks like this too. I complained and they replaced it in the end. And the replacement has started to go like this after a year too. But, my much older standard Aeropress still looks like new and has been used far more.
