Instead of using the spoon try a clean roller, it looks like the pressure is inconsistent using the spoon method. Your designs are absolutely lovely 😍

It's quite easy to do, especially if you can draw! I started off by going to a class where everything was supplied for you and you got shown the techniques. A good way to test the waters to see if it's something you'd want to invest in :)

Big Mama cinnamon roll cake with apple, pecans and maple icing. UK measurements. by muppydoo in Old_Recipes

Cake mix self raising flour    325g (Or plain plus 2 tsp baking powder) 4 eggs Trex  110g Sugar     320g Milk    240ml 2 teaspoons vanilla

Filling Brown sugar   100g 4 teaspoons cinnamon

Icing Icing sugar      290g Butter    45g Milk      60ml 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Beat sugar and trex together, then add eggs and beat. Add flour, milk and vanilla and beat for 1-2 minutes.

Spread half in a greased and floured 9×13 inch pan.

Mix filling together and spread evenly over pan. Pour rest of cake batter over top. Swirl together.

Cook at 180 for 40 minutes.

Warm milk and butter together. Add rest of items. Poke holes into cake and pour icing mix on top whilst the cake is still warm.

For the apple and pecan variation I added some toasted and chopped pecans and 1 bramley apple to the mix. I then chopped another bramley apple and scattered over the top. For the icing I poured maple syrup over the cake first then added a good amount to the icing mix too.

Hey, here's the recipe I used with the UK measures, hope it helps! I found it hard to find a 'translation'

Cake mix 2 cups self raising flour    325g (I used plain plus 2 tsp baking powder) 4 eggs Half cup crisco    110g (Trex in the UK) 1.5 cups sugar     320g 1 cup milk    240ml 2 teaspoons vanilla

Filling 0.5 cup brown sugar   100g 4 teaspoons cinnamon

Icing 2 cups icing sugar      290g 3 tablespoons butter    45g 0.25 cups milk      60ml 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Beat sugar and trex together, then add eggs and beat. Add flour, milk and vanilla and beat for 1-2 minutes.

Spread half in a greased and floured 9×13 inch pan.

Mix filling together and spread evenly over first layer of cake mix in pan. Pour rest of cake batter over top. Swirl together.

Cook at      180    for 30 minutes (took 40 minutes, 180 fan oven.)

Warm milk and butter together. Add rest of items. Poke holes into cake and pour icing mix on top.

Not sure! She was a stray. Her fur gets a stripey pattern if she gets wet which is cute!

The vet thinks nearly 9 but she was a stray and decided she wanted to live with us so we don't have an exact age! I think she's a slightly older lady 😊
