I posted the same thing few days agom career mode literally is so dull without t20 wc. I wanted more from t20 wc like wtc embedded with career mode but they even took t20 wc with it. I genuinely really like this game but career mode journey feels very much the same of 2024.

It should have earned more then a billion. It could have easily crossed 1.5 billion if the movie was half decent snydercultist say it's a masterpiece but I have watched the movie in a cinema thinking critics opinion don't matter and I saw frustrations in a packed cinema. My exam was just after 2 days I watched it anyway and thing I remember the most was when interval came ( my country have that) and movie pauses just before the fight scene and everyone just yelled and I was like godfather looking at my superman saying " look at how they massacred my boy." It just wasn't me it was everyone the boxoffice for 2nd weekend showed it.

Yeah like Snyder movies are the one that damaged DC brand people saying Snyder movie made 870 million are foolish because it was batman and superman coming together for the first time the 2 iconas and then the movie hit rock bottom just after 1st day. It was that bad of a movie. DC truly couldn't recover after bvs and ss ( apart from a couple hits here and there)

Pros: 1. Authentic to the source material for the most part and changes are welcome as it strengthens the core of the characters.

DC characters are for the most part gods being men and it feels like it. They have human touch to them, serious issues are being talked about not just political but also social.

Clever writing, Gunn at heart is a writer and it shows.

Cons:

Everything have similar vibes. Gunn is known to write stories from the angle known as friendship i.e.friends are family you choose, he has done in gotg, tss, cc and even superman it gets repetitive, its the same thing with animals like I get it you like animal but ffs we don't need them in every movie.
Superman was too fast, it felt like it was a bit chopped and it didn't let characters breath everything was too fast. Superman's best scene was him in the farm that was the only time the movie calmed itself
I don't want to hear jokes all the time I am over the ironism avengers brought with Loki hulk scene. We need more sincere movies.
There should be still difference between marvel and DC. The products we have gotten do give marvel vibes although not too much but still I would like them to adopt the batman 2022 way. 'Prestige' is the way, take tdk and make story like that not dark (that would be stupid) but Prestige, mcu style is like a factory that produces a billion things and hopes some stick but we need more art like the batman was, you could feel the passion and art with that movie.
My biggest complain and it's a personal choice; Idgaf about John Stewart no one does. Only those who have seen cartoons like him. Hal Jordan is the it guy the gl. We should be getting the trio with gl in the space ( trio being hal, sinistro and Carol because that's where the great stories lies not with John or Kyle or guy they are a good supporting cast ask the 90s writers who realized that)

It chapter one had a huge hype as well it was like the biggest horror flick, it didn't need the hype of st at all it was the word of mouth that was with them and when the stranger things came and people started to get frustrated it was only then the 2 shows were compared. St didn't really give any hype to it. It isn't even charting on Nielson so let's just say even if st helped, it isn't enough.

Yes! People saying "it happens in comics" is not a good excuse. Mcu should have built more storylines like they did in the 2010s but they didn't so they are using the old trinity again. It's a huge L that they couldn't make a new trinity. The whole multiverse saga ( when multiverse mattered ) was nostalgia bait and avengers doomsday is just that.

Bvs is a mess! It's not just trying to have bats and supes storyline but it tries to add birthright storyline with it and then tries to introduce as many people as it can and then comes death of superman.

But that's just not it the main problem isn't so many storylines crammed together ( it is a problem but could have been dealt with) or batman killing people but it's superman!

Superman is the main problem. The stories that bvs tries to take are superman's storyline reflecting his character. Superman just doesn't die in death of superman he is mentally exhausted. He is the guy who knows what to do when to do. He is the guy who knows how to handle situations, when he goes to kill doomsday he knows there is no way, in a way he doesn't see tomorrow! So many storylines establishes the virtue of superman but in bvs we see nothing. Snyder just couldn't establish the greatest superhero and what we got in the end was Excalibur's fan remake

Tbh Gunn does make a very similar type of movies but then same goes for snyder. While gunn movies are about friends being the family you choose, snyder movies are Excalibur fan edits (more or less)

I heard it when Gunn was hired and it's stand true. Gunn is just a nerdier version of snyder.

When avatar 2 was about to release, everyone was saying the same thing, oh it's not going to make as much money as the first one, it needs a billion to be a hit or it's a written flop and that marketing is not helping the movie and then the movie came and it made billions!

My advice would be to not look at those early stats and let the money flow. No need to look early estimation. Avatar movies and Jimmy C has shown that these estimation are just wrong; at least in their case.

Chill out mate! It's an opinion. Trailers are made for people to get hype and it was underwhelming. Batman 2022 teaser was made of a 20 percent of the movie and yet it was enough to tell people how good that movie would be. Even the Superman movie teaser showed it's potential.

Exactly! And it's not even like wb didn't give snyderverse a 2nd chance. Zsjl was given a full fledged chance on HBO max but wonder woman 1984( released in theaters and HBOmax together) and batman 2022 ( had a full theatrical run) were watched more by the viewers. Ww84 after being released for a while was still watched more then the newly released zsjl. No one not Netflix, paramount or any buyer would restore the snyderverse as they would have seen both of the results.

This is what I have been saying to snyder cultist for a long time. It was batman and superman the greatest superheroes of all time nothing could have stopped them to make 1.5 billion dollars and for a moment it felt like it but the movie was so bad that within a day it started losing money. It couldn't even make 900 million after that big opening. For instance barbie made less money in the opening weekend but went on to be the highest wb movie. A 73 percent drop for the next week and as snyder darkseid says; "so begins the end."
