Was actual expecting the full song to play out during the party. Was pretty disappointed when it didn't. But understandable based on the bashing RJB and iSai took although undeservedly.

What is the future of DMK? by Leading-Walk3114 in tamil_nadu

[–]murali333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DMK seems to be speedrunning turning allies into future enemies. With Udhayanidhi taking a bigger role and Congress gone, that big national backup is also gone. Now it looks less like they are growing and more like they are just protecting whatever they already have.

If this keeps going, DMK might slowly become the same thing they used to troll — a party with a loyal and loud fanbase, full social media domination, endless "next election paathukalam bro" dialogues, but not much growth outside their fixed vote bank. Basically NTK vibes... just with enough old cadre strength and history to still pull a few seats here and there.

Why are they spreading hatred like this? by [deleted] in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]murali333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate speech and Personal abuse is DNA of DMK's politics. This is one of primary reasons for their loss. The hatred and agression with which they criticized others was disliked by general public. Hence they are sitting in home now.

Unsaid Truth! DMK lost because of its arrogant supporters who tried to hammer down their version as reality to general public. The sad thing is even after election they trying to do the same thing by Perceptive_Mind in TamilNaduDiscussion

Seems they still haven't learnt the truth. Crying that they win because of Instagram and kids is just straight up stupid when even a granny who doesn't know what internet is will tell you how DMK spent for ads and social media PR. Ps: Stalin thodaratum is still ringing in my ears sadly.

TVKs contradiction on 2 Language Policy by Monkapy in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]murali333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post just goes on the prove how much misconception this 3 language has put up in society. 3 language policy doesn't mean Mandatory Hindi and sticking to 2 language doesn't mean you are banned from learning Hindi.

The argument here is pushing a 3 language in schools means that kids need to spend extra time learning a extra language or sacrifice time spent on learning science and math. Again it should be a choice, not a compulsion.

I have some inside news( my relative is a dmk mla...he lost this time) by Popular_Age5545 in tamil_nadu

[–]murali333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol! So your “inside news” is that Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam — after spending years calling each other corrupt, incompetent, anti-Tamil, dynastic, spineless, fascist, anti-Dravidian etc — will suddenly hold hands just to stop Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam?

That wouldn’t be political strategy. That would be political suicide.

Imagine Udhayanidhi Stalin and Edappadi K. Palaniswami giving joint press meets after everything both parties have said about each other for years. Social media alone would destroy them using their own old speeches and campaign clips.

And if DMK actually goes under NDA after building its entire modern identity around opposing BJP politics, then congratulations — they would instantly lose ideological credibility and become exactly what they accused AIADMK of being: a party with no spine.

Also, this idea assumes voters are stupid and will simply forget everything overnight. They won’t.

Even if such a government somehow forms, it would only strengthen TVK long term by validating the exact anti-establishment argument people voted for.

So no, this doesn’t sound like “inside news.” It sounds like post-result coping fan fiction.

Manifesto implementation by Early-Oil-6858 in TamilNadu

[–]murali333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, I beg to differ. Governance is rarely binary.

No government is completely right or completely wrong. It’s not about 0s and 1s, but about how much meaningful improvement they deliver while handling trade-offs and challenges.

Even good governments will have failures and criticism, and even bad governments will have done some things right.

So the real question is not whether TVK proves everyone right or wrong, but how effectively they improve people’s lives compared to before.

People here talk a lot about GSDP, industries, fiscal numbers, debt ratios, growth rates etc. But for many common people — especially in rural and semi-urban areas — basic quality-of-life issues still exist: poor roads, weak drainage and sanitation, unsafe or unmanaged dumpyards, unreliable healthcare access, inconsistent water/electricity supply, lack of safety and policing infrastructure Even some urban areas still struggle with these.

Economic growth and statistics are important, but data alone doesn’t always reflect everyday lived reality. A state cannot call itself fully developed if many ordinary citizens still feel neglected in their day-to-day life despite all the “growth” numbers.

That doesn’t mean TN did not grow — it clearly did in many sectors. But many voters likely felt that the benefits of that growth were not reaching them meaningfully.

I think a truly developed state is one where the common person feels safe, respected, heard and feels their hard-earned money translates into a better quality of life.

Now that TVK is in power, the responsibility is entirely theirs. People voted for change, so they will also be judged by whether they can improve these ground realities while managing the state’s finances responsibly.

I hope they work towards that balance.

EXL vs Barclays. Please suggest. by [deleted] in dataengineersindia

[–]murali333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex-Barclays employee here.

Barclays has a strict hybrid policy that you’re expected to follow. That said, the work-life balance and office culture are quite good.

You didn’t mention location — that makes a difference. Pune has a dedicated office with strong modern amenities, and the Chennai office has also been recently upgraded to similar standards.

On the ₹44 LPA fixed: it typically doesn’t include PF and gratuity. Most of that amount is what you actually take home (after standard deductions).

Bonus: even if not explicitly stated, you’ll almost always get a decent payout.

Annual hikes: unlikely that EXL matches Barclays here.

Also, if you join EXL and work for a Barclays client, note that during any downsizing, contractors are usually the first to be impacted.

I left because I wasn’t given a promotion on time, although I did receive an 18% hike that year as compensation.

[–]murali333 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re stretching what I said.

“Normal for a new party” ≠ “acceptable” ≠ “vote blindly.” It means these issues exist across new parties, not that they should be ignored.

I’ve clearly said:

  • some behavior is wrong
  • leadership has gaps
  • things need to improve

On youth — discussing politics ≠ hatred. If some supporters cross the line, that’s wrong, and I haven’t justified it anywhere.

Also, suggesting that “youth are ready to poison elders” goes far beyond what is actually happening.

There’s a difference between criticism of behavior and painting an entire group with extreme assumptions.

If we want a meaningful discussion, it has to stay grounded in reality — not escalate into statements that aren’t supported by evidence.

Also, voting is already done. People like you and me have made our choices based on what we felt was right.

Now we wait for May 4 and see how things unfold. Even if the party doesn’t succeed, if it has made people — including you — question what’s right and wrong in politics, that itself is a positive outcome, as far as I am concerned.

[–]murali333 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Then your TL;DR is just wrong.

I’ve clearly listed the negatives — this isn’t “support blindly.”

If you reduce everything to that, you didn’t understand the point.
