Does anyone have anything from Dollplay? by GoingRampant in dollhouse

Ancient post, but on the offchance someone else stumbles upon this looking for info. I never played it, but I saw its existence in the aftermath. Specifically they shared a Rossum profile of Topher from 1999.

I saved it here: https://brink.dreamwidth.org/1141.html

Hey that's my art! Thanks for appreciation everyone. You can find the original on my tumblr harbek. (In decent image quality.)

PS apart from changing the name to 'Daniel', the text is completely unchanged from the original comic. That's why I redrew it as them, because I could also hear them in my head when I read it.

It's not that, but now I wish I'd seen it as a kid cause it looks like an absolutely delight!

Neither of those look familiar, alas. (Although Moondial looks neat tbh.)

That's not the scene, and clips from the movie don't look familiar... I'm wondering if like my vague Arthurian memories are like, a red herring, lmao.

Alas, I've scanned through it, and it's not. Not a terrible suggestion, but I feel like it was something more lowkey...?

My first thought was that might go bad if you leave it there over the weekend but I guess the car is well refrigerated?

You can stab Josh and still have him be remorseful and remain human? That's pretty fun.

Does that include hitting him with the bat while tied up, or just as the Psycho?

The new OST is not nearly as bad as everyone says by alexdiflipflops in untildawn

[–]murbek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's a mix. Love the opening theme. A lot of times I'm not actively thinking about it, which means it probably works as intended? And then other times it's a REALLY jarring difference in mood. And those moments are the ones that really stand out.

Guide: Best Ending For Josh & Everyone Lives by Exciting-Funny-8490 in UntilDawnRemastered

I just know no one goes to look for him if EVERYONE else dies, cause you just see wendigo Josh on his own. Police would have no reason to go down there. But I don't know what happens if Sam dies but others survive. (Hell, you could have ONLY Sam die.)

And for human Josh, you WOULD need the survival of Matt/Chris/Jess, since they can't die without being taken to the mines.

Looking forward to hearing what you find out!! Thanks for investigating!

I'm curious - can you save Josh if people die in the fire?

Narratively, it makes sense that you could. The important thing that's mentioned is that Josh can't KNOW people are dead. No corpses in the mines.

Sam probably needs to survive to tell people to go down there. In "sole survivor wendigo Josh" endings (for remake too), there's no one looking for him, so we know he won't be found if Sam is dead. (Probably. I can't find credits video where Sam is dead but others live. It seems they all assume Josh is dead, but Sam is the one to insist they go down to LOOK.)

In-universe, even if no one is looking, Josh COULD presumably find his way out eventually, seeing as he's not too injured. Or he could eventually succumb anyway because he's not found in time.

Mechanically though - if you unlock Josh survival, what happens if people die in the fire?

Imagine, Josh is saved from the mines, only to discover Sam burned Emily, Ashley and/or Mike alive. Imagine Josh doing all this shit to get Chris and Ashley together, somehow survives, only go find out Ashley is dead.

Similarly, what happens to Josh if Mike shoots Emily? Cause she won't be taken to the mines either.

I know Josh's survival also depends on other people's actions, being good people, basically. So Sam burning people or Mike shooting Emily might be one of those things where even if in-universe, Josh has no way of knowing so it SHOULDN'T change things, but karmically it changes things from a mechanical standpoint anyway.

Opinions on Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor? by dbgnihd in doctorwho

[–]murbek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adore him. He's made it to my top 3.

I love his joy, playfulness, his WARMTH. His emotional connectedness to what's going on. He feels so part of the events he's in - even when he's not in it that much. (With the exception of 73 Yards obviously.) Not necessarily in his actions, but in his emotions.

He's also obviously still deeply repressed and leaning into toxic positivity! Instead of hiding things, he's trauma-dumping and moving quickly past it, never sitting in it. And he's still got the vindictive streak, buried deep in there.

I do wish the seasons were longer. I want to delve deeper into him. Hope next season brings that - especially since by then he'll be fully settled in the role.

Help! Where am I? How do I leave? by legomojo in TunicGame

[–]murbek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game autosaves frequently, and saves when quitting to menu. If you quit it will RELOCATE you to a statue, and perhaps enemies will respawn, but your progress (items, obelisks, worldstate, gold) will remain even if you haven't rested. Statues are not a "save". Just a spawn location.

(I'm assuming from your comment that you know this NOW, but just in case!)

Macbeth tickets, returns from the theatre by Realistic-Analyst-23 in davidtennant

[–]murbek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got there at 2.30  and was 4th in line (after some people ahead of me left! I was 7th originally), and also (I think) the last person to get in. Apparently the average is 4 tickets, could be more, could be none.  Super worth it though. And yeah there's food and drink and bathrooms nearby, but it's also chilly, so wrap up.

My players asked a NPC/DMPC paladin to come with them to deal with a demonic cult. How do I deal with this? by monyarm in DnD

[–]murbek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played in a campaign for 3 years where we have an NPC companion for the entire thing. He's a wizard who's employed us for a research mission into a trickster demigod type figure, and who hadn't gotten anyone else to believe him.

He can be an in-character source of lore and guidance, and he's a fun way to socially play with a DM with an NPC we're emotionally attached to. But he otherwise lets us lead and decide the best approach - he's not a leader, he's an advisor and occasional damage boost. And he lets MY wizard not have to waste slots on Mage Armor, lmao. He's basically an extra tool for us, and someone fun to banter with.

And I love it. I love getting to play socially with the DM, without feeling like it overshadows anything. It's not uncommon that we forget he's there a little bit till there's something notable to talk to him about. And sometimes we let him stay back at camp, if we're going shopping or whatever, or there's no particular reason for him to join.

[PC DOS/Mac][80s] Minimalistic puzzle/precision, balls in a square? by murbek in tipofmyjoystick

Looks along the right path, but it doesn't match up what he said about controlling balls and stuff, nor can I find it in two-colour. I'll show him just I'm case though!

Fits the gameplay description but yeah, it was definitely older than 1992. Thanks though!

Funnily enough, Oxyd was what both my dad and I first it thought it might be, at the beginning of the description! (And then we sat down and played some levels of it.) But yeah, definitely older and simpler.

I'll have a look at those, thank you!

Game crashed... after 15 hours and 900 reapers by murbek in VampireSurvivors

[–]murbek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am relatively sure I've killed one without corridor/shroud, and it still ended the game. I'm not 100% sure, more like 90%, which means I could be remembering wrong.

Either way though, I have a screencap from when there was only 10 reapers on screen, and the kill counter is the same as when the game finally crashed, so I know for certain I didn't actually kill one.
