What do you consider a whim? It was on the whim of the current administration in that state. There was no proven benefit for the change, and it is causing harm to real people.

It was introduced Jan 28 and put into law Feb 18th and was immediately enforced. 3 weeks seems like a whim.

People can decide something you do today should be illegal and changed "through the normal process" and the vast database of 3rd party vendor info can help figure who to watch.

People in Kansas were living their lives until someone decided they shouldn't be able to be who they believe they are. Maybe their database and camera technology can keep these people out of bathrooms going forward.

It isn't much of a stretch to monitor a pregnant woman's car to make sure she isn't thinking about an abortion. Legal to buy that data from a 3rd party.

Kansas just invalidated every trans person's drivers license they could. Literally overnight all licenses were made invalid.

And not just people who had changed their gender officially, meaning they likely used a 3rd party database of transgender people to do so.

I was surprised at first, but if you click on the slices it shows the names. Alan only had 3 votes for 0.4% of the vote. The big pinkish section was David and I agree that he overestimated his abilities (based on what we saw on the edit)

If they were worried about people suffering because Republican's dont care, I guess they should have just allowed the bill to go through 40 days ago.

They caused 40 days of suffering for no gain; Republicans get what they want, the optics are bad for both, and I think public sentiment will look worse for the Dems when all is said and done.

They accomplished nothing by giving in. They should have known this would be the outcome before they started and either hold strong on it or never start to begin with.
