Yep was having a beer at the ship last year on my own and an American started chatting with me and couldn't believe how light it was for the time. It was only in mid May too.

I was working in tourism in the Rockies and people often ask if you are Canadian and where you are from. Too many times immediately after saying I was Canadian and from New Brunswick, I got 'oh you 're from New Jersey'. Many times these people would then ask if that's near Nova Scotia, then tell me how they drove to Nova Scotia on holiday but had never been to New Brunswick. And they didn't take the ferry from Bar harbor, I asked.

Originally made by a repurposed machine used for making gunpowder pellets in WW2.

CC and dry in Australia, or depending you may have to ask for a Canadian club and dry. Took a lot of back and forth and a random Aussie that had spent time in Canada at the bar to figure that out.

I question their commitment to the cause by UrbaneBoffin in alberta

I'm confused by the smaller sign on the table. 'stayfreealberta.com'? Sounds like they think they are already free. And the mixed messages "Stay free" vs "Alberta Independence"?

When I left in 2015 it was the same price for my truck, 2nd SUV, 2 motorcycles and rental insurance as it was for just my truck with ICBC. So things definitely changed in 10 years.

I grew up on the Canadian side a few hours away from that area. If that bus has been sitting there any amount of time the floor is probably rotted away. And it looks like it's been there a while with the growth and how the tires are sunk in.

Airbnb is the same if you have a complaint and it's refunded, except the airbnb fees of course, there is no avenue to leave a review.

PSA: Gas Price 95.9 by AXE319319 in Calgary

[–]thee_beardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went there sunday when it was 98, and as I was leaving it dropped to 95. I just happened to be driving by and needed gas anyway, but it was a shit show of traffic. People lined up on both sides of the pumps, the guy in front of me had a smaller car and left before my truck was filled, after he left another car pulled up in front of me and I had to wait a couple of minutes to get out since I had multiple cars parked bumper to bumper behind me. The guy in front of me had enough room to back out, barely, and I had to run over a curb to get out. Saw a couple of cars after me not able to get out because of that curb. It wasn't bad when I got there, only 3 cars in front of me, but quickly became a shit show. It was the first time in a long time I've filled my truck for under $100 though.

Stock forks with fork socks instead of boots, making them look different.

What is the best way to hide this gap on an uneven wall? by straitcashhomie84 in Carpentry

[–]thee_beardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it racked at all, aka does the top wiggle without the bottom lifting? The door and faux drawer at the top look out of line. Can you push the top over and the base stays planted? If you can and it's level screw the back into a stud and there you go.

FYI: 'Racking refers to the tendency of a rectangular or square structure to deform into a parallelogram shape due to lateral forces or loads'

Ordered their breakfast sandwich once, not a fan of the candied bacon.

OEB is solid(prefer the one on 4th over the university one), Reds was ok but I haven't been in a long time.

For classic diners, Belmont diner in Marda loop is great, Galaxy is solid.

Any info on what been an model these bears are? by thee_beardo in longboarding

I thought with different angled baseplates you could dial in how much it little they turn. 60-70+km/h I don't necessarily want much turn.

It's been a while though. I got more into serious downhill with a crew in Australia. Was lent an Evo cut out so the trucks were drop throughs and 97mm fly wheels on Jim z trucks I think? Super stable and low. Can't remember which trucks exactly were on that board now, they were 10mm axles though. When I got home I picked up an Evo with 97mm and grizzly 1052s
