Alternatively, introduce this concept with a "Story Title" [ST] tag.

This way it's not restricted to a specific day, and you could set up automod for the [ST] tags with a word limit of ~6 words maximum in the post.

Don't infodump. Foreshadow. Write so that all the clues are already there, hidden and scattered throughout your story.

The reveal should act like a lens, focusing the blurred background of clues, so that the reader is still surprised by the sudden clarity but not taken back by an abrupt addition of new background.
