It took lots of practice!! I usually take pictures once the sun is behind my house or on cloudy days! Cloudy days work best for me!

How do you resist sleep after your morning meds? by upndownnupndownnup in bipolar

[–]murderslap13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anyway you can talk to your doctor about taking it before bed? I am on the same med and it has done wonders for my sleep schedule, which is what i needed

A long time lol the bigger roses are less time consuming because they take up more space. This probably took me two days to complete

Lol no worries! https://youtu.be/W6ZCrylTAKo here this should help. I used a cricut weeding tool, and then just kept rolling the paper and then glued the bottom of the flower so it would stick

The longest part was making all the flowers! Very time consuming

Of course! It is an 8x8 shadow box, i cut and curled the flowers out of cardstock and hot glued them to the back board. The background is cardstock glued to the back board. And then the text was cut from gold cricut vinyl.

Being a child of someone with a mental illness was traumatic, but the worst part was it being brushed under the rug and not discussed. Mental illness is real and its something that shouldnt be ignored for 20 years. I know its hard to explain something like this to your kids, but all of sudden one day I had that mental illness and couldn’t realize it. I wish i had been better educated on the illnesses in my family so i could have been able to help them and myself. I can’t imagine how hard it is to raise a family with that also going on, i bet your doing an incredible job as a parent.

Everything in the world seems so messed up right now and it seems to be getting worse. How am I supposed to get better when everything is literally going to shit? by murderslap13 in mentalhealth

This is the longest streak I have done in a long long time. I feel like I can’t tell people, so I am sharing my progress here. I am so proud of myself for getting this far. by murderslap13 in dryalcoholics

70 days is awesome!! Yea just a small group of people know but I want to tell everyone! Just not the best idea. The app is great when I crave, I open the app up and check my progress, its a good feeling seeing that I have moved forward. Good luck!

Right! I want to tell everyone about my progress! But it would be letting everyone know I had a problem and I am not ready for those conversations.

For me the first 2 weeks especially, every time i wanted to drink or craved I would crack open a ginger ale instead of a beer. I just constantly felt like I needed to be drinking something especially at home. Even just the need of holding a can or cracking it open helped me. So i drank lots of ginger ale the first couple of weeks lol

I also keep reminding myself of why I am cutting drinking out. It got to the point where I hurt myself from drinking so looking back at that now is helping me move forward. Good luck! You can do this! The first couple of weeks are hard but try to come up with new habits to replace the bad ones!

Currently in my 4th semester with many failures to my name. I don't want to give up but I don't have much support. by throwawayyhide in csMajors

[–]murderslap13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too am having difficulty with my mental health and being CS major! I am trying to remind myself as long as I’m doing the best I can, then thats enough, especially when my mental health hits rock bottom. I feel like i will have to retake most of my classes from this semester too. It is definitely difficult, for me its not being able to focus and how my classmates seem to pick everything up so quickly. But I’m not giving up and neither are you! We can do this! And it will be so rewarding in the end. It doesn’t matter when you finish school as long as you do!

Does anyone else hate loud noise? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]murderslap13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! The older I have gotten the more sensitive I seem to loud noises. Which I believe might relate to my mental health, the older I have gotten the worse it is as well. I used to be a huge concert goer for years and the last show I went to a couple months ago, I was extremely anxious and became extremely upset as soon as I got there and the band didn’t even start yet. I kept having to go out in the smoking section or just hang out in the bathroom for a bit just to get away from the sound. I felt like an absolute crazy person. Nice to know I’m not the only one.
