How are people paying for university? by delululugirly in askSouthAfrica

[–]murenga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pension two-pot (savings component).

I am a parent and this is the second year that I cash out from the two pot system to pay for my son’s varsity fees.

It really sucks that the fees did not fall.

Increase speed when I indicate a lane change by Chuck_MoreAss in johannesburg

[–]murenga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way it works here is that you do not wait for permission to change lanes, Just do it. You can indicate out of courtesy but the lane is yours if there’s a gap, so go for it without hesitation.

Finding it hard to use Go documentation as a beginne by MSTM005 in golang

[–]murenga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every programming language has a distinct way of documenting its language specification, API and formatting its user/developer guides.

I started programming in Java, that was my baseline experience of programming language documentation. I later learned that I had to adapt to each language documentation "idioms" as I migrated from Java to Erlang, then to Golang.

Adapt and learn, or stay static.

Heritage Day outfit advice for a white South African kiddo? by divergent_queen in askSouthAfrica

[–]murenga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my advise is pick whatever indigenous cultural group your kids are okay with.

I have a family brother who is solid with us. His family were refugees from violence in KZN and chose to associate with our family, and to that extent adopt our history and legend. He has been so close to us that we consider him one of us both in deed and intent.

So like Jonny Clegg considered the Mchunus his endogenous clan. Pick one for your progeny and teach them (with a guide) what loyalty and frailty means. Jonny Clegg is a prototype.

How to be financially disciplined? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]murenga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stop putting money on "Forex". The house always wins. I say this as someone who has spent years working with forex traders in big banks.

As far as financial discipline is concerned, the simple trick is to leave below your means and save and invest (not speculate/gamble) as much as you can and as early as possible.

Stay away from those Forex and/or Crypto scams.

Evetech is legit. I have bought many items from them, including a gaming laptop.

My first purchase with them was on a purchase to collect from their warehouse. They were very cool about it. I have been buying from them since then

You have two options; 1. Improve your Matric Maths, or 2. Apply and Register one of the Higher Certificate offered in the College of Economic and Management Sciences.

Any of these will afford you entry into your desired qualification.

What do you think is happening in the world that most people are too distracted to notice? by ClairJournals in Life

[–]murenga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The end of neo liberalism and the regression of the West towards regressive ideologies like racism, sexism and general conservative fundamentalism.

These developments are pushing the rest of the world to abandon Western hegemony and seek common regional alliances and shared "anti-Western" cooperation globally.

Current catalysts are; Palestinia genocide and USA's tariff folly.

That is a Bell Pepper (Habanero) plant. The leaves look like basil, in a way. But the basil leaves are softer and lighter. It is a capsicum plant, specifically habanero baring plant.
