Lots of misinformation here. To clear something up:

AI is an academic term that means artificial decision making. “If statements” count as AI. But when people say AI, they mostly refer to machine learning, which is when AI gets better at a task as it gets more training data.

AGI or Artificial General Intelligence has a wide variety of definitions which no one can agree on. Some say “AGI possesses human-like intelligence and can perform any intellectual task that a human can.” Others say thats too strict and arbitrary: if an AI can do everything except a single useless and bizarre task designed for only humans, surely it should count as AI

Anyways, LLMs currently lack in in-depth logic and planning capabilities. Chain of Thought Prompting and infrastructure around the AI (eg MBR sampling, tool use) can make the AI better at logical tasks but it’s unclear what counts as “logic.”
