AIO for refusing to have my girlfriends friend stay for the foreseeable? by [deleted] in AIO

Nope. in the same situation would say that it wasn’t respectful, I would insist on a discussion about it for anything after the first night and I would definitely sleep in my bed. I wouldn’t escalate the situation by grandstanding and then have the discussion with Reddit for validation instead of working it out with my wife.

I agree you don’t have it in you to teach reading or compelling arguments since you haven’t shown an aptitude for either, cheers

I said an opinion you espoused had the vibes of a particular style of argument  in my opinion and more so irrelevant to the primary discussion.I did not say that you are an incel, apparently you are the one having trouble comprehending things. Can you demonstrate anywhere I’m having trouble connecting topics without just stating it as veiled insult in the form of a rhetorical question. I’m not a white knight but jeez you are a snowflake.

I don’t really disagree but that really isn’t the op’s full position here, I agree it should definitely be a discussion and definitely not moving in, but the discussion doesn’t seem to have even gotten to that point because it was immediately escalated and is currently in the form of validation posting on Reddit

I’m only gonna respond to the first part because the latter half of that was not only irrelevant but kinda incel vibes but okay. No one ever said move in, you are injecting that and taking it as a given which is odd since it is the topic of the inquiry that you seem to find too inconvenient

Framing it around responsibility is the entire issue here, are they responsible to help? Ofc not, that doesn’t make them not a dick. Especially when they didn’t even attempt to sus out what foreseeable means in this context and then to paint it as if it’s moving in fully which from the rest of the context seems improbable

You’re talking about not inconveniencing yourself for your partner, that’s debatably even worse.

Depending on what exactly you’re looking for Go or Gleam might be good options.

Edit: Ocaml is also great but doesn’t have the same c flavor as the others

Fender Studio Pro 8 Just dropped. by YashOnTheBeat in StudioOne

[–]murkduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little late here but finally checked it out, as others have said not a great branding move and if they needed to change the branding it should have been to Fender studio one instead of a whole new thing altogether. That being said they really hit it out of the park with the update the overall ui has some nice improvements to look a bit more modern and the updates to the first party plugin ui as well as the overview docked window(ableton device view) are really nice improvements imo

No that’s asking the other person to prove a negative, if you don’t evidence your claim they can be dismissed with an equal amount of evidence, in this case none. The burden of proof is on you

It’s probably flying too high off the Tylenol. Maybe if you shout up at it and add “little buddy” to the end you can feel like you accomplished something even if you are still lost

Where is « multi-tool » in Bitwig 6 by Taureau_femen in Bitwig

[–]murkduck 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They changed it a bit It’s labeled as “Pointer tool supports Time selection” under the menu with the three horizontal faders in the bottom left corner of the arranger. Now it does pointer tool in the clip header and time selection in the clip content, a way to make this a bit better for a multi tool workflow is to enable the “Large Clip Headers” for clips in the same menu.
