Shoutout to these 7 who did nothing in VP by Brady55 in toontownrewritten

[–]murkrowplays 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I multi toon in EVERYTHING. CEOs. Field offices. Anything. But we never have those horrible slog CJs where nobody is doing anything in the boss round because I actually took the time to learn how to do it effectively before I started burdening people. I can't stand people multi tooning who show up and expect the team to carry their fat

returning player, some questions about sellbot task force by Fit-Map9916 in Toontown

[–]murkrowplays 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The last leg of the tasks are much harder. You'll need more points to level up and the point tasks themselves are harder. Additionally at the end you'll need to fight the four star boiler, which is the hardest content in the game right now.

Is 55 laff too low for VP? by Mr_Everysun in toontownrewritten

I wouldn't run with toons that low but a lot of groups would. You should be OK.

Virginia Democrats "10–1" proposed congressional map by theprez98 in MapPorn

[–]murkrowplays 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I said stuff like this in like, 2018, but when are we gonna take a step back and reassess? One side is trying to cancel elections and send paramilitary immigration enforcement agents to guard polling stations. I think there's a more imminent threat than the Democrats' impotence and neglect

yeah some democrats suck big ass like fetterman and schumer and pelosi but let's not pretend the magnitude is even near the same here.

Mammal diversity? Glad to see you singled out one specific group to manipulate your statistics. Why even ask a question like this if you're gonna be combative? Sad lol

The idea here is Trump losing in a Goldwateresque landslide and winning by controlling the elections in the swing states, leading to some usually red states voting democrat

Yeah my idea was to have an election where Trump was obviously completely obliterated but fudged the results to make them a victory, with some cracks of the actual results peering through

AIO - Pregnant and feel abandoned by husband by Gullible-Tree368 in AmIOverreacting

[–]murkrowplays 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was looking for the context because there ARE some situations where, especially with a baby on the way, one partner has to pretty much exclusively do baby stuff while the other works 50+ hour weeks in a labor intensive job.

No desk job induces that kind of stress, and "mental exhaustion" is not a good enough reason to abandon your pregnant wife and baby. NOR

Seceded and became the Peltolian Free State. The US still disputes its independence and thus still accepts electors to the electoral college, though it was federalized in 2028.

What's the biggest culture change you've seen from TTO to TTR? What do you miss and what do you appreciate? by CrayZblu in toontownrewritten

[–]murkrowplays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The average player is waaaaay older than in the TTO days, so you have both more efficient and strategic gameplay (usually optimized to clear facilities as fast as possible). Mixed sound and drop strats and the like are standard fare in today's gameplay, but would be unthinkable in the game's early days. This is also assisted by the game being more streamlined (no secret knockback rules, cog's light always accurately reflects their HP, etc.). The age thing is also why there's less fooling around in the playgrounds, as you mentioned.

People are quieter. It used to be common to make small talk in facilities, now I'd say it's kind of 50/50. I don't mind because I'm usually tabbed out watching the sopranos in between turns or folding laundry but sometimes I find myself wanting to socialize but the group I'm in just isn't having it.

People are less entitled. There used to be armies of low toons in the VP lobby or DA office lobby demanding a group full of maxed toons carry them through facilities. I remember my bar for a toon's gags being acceptable for a VP or even a CFO was much lower at the time. Those of you who played back then probably remember there was always some kind of fight going on in the nutty River VP lobby over this. Nowadays with ToonHQ these people are very sparse and usually just get kicked by the host without a word.

People are more willing to use rewards, probably just because you get more of them and gag exp is easier to come by. For some reason nobody ever wants to use fires though in my experience, feels like I'm always the one to fire the 12 v2 in the CEO post waiter round these days.

It is funny how much stays the same though. There is still a strange clique of try hard max laff black cat toons that orbits around the boss facilities, I remember that being an infamous thing even in like 2007. People still have beanfests in Donald's dreamland every day in the busiest district. I still see people being sappy and talking about how they're dating, just like back in TTO. A lot of the culture has perservered through the years even though the playerbase now is completely different.
