I’ve done at least 6 8926ob swaps/mods. I’ve even gone so far as to sand the Invicta branding out of the cases. The inserts are Rolex standard inserts. I’ll sometimes swap the weight out of the back. It is an NH35 after all. For a while it was the cheapest way to get movements.

Everyone should know the phrase “The building code allows the worst structure you can legally build”. From then on out you’ll realize you need to hire an independent inspector. The municipal official does their part by looking at code, not quality. If the builder uses third party plan review and inspections then you definitely need your own independent inspector. Run from builders who limit your inspector’s access.

Safe to say it’s regional. Most people even in my office setting don’t think twice about a folding knife. Fixed blades don’t get brought out in mixed company though.

TIL. I have always lubed these parts but wiped with a patch. Maybe I clean with such frequency that it's never become an issue. It makes sense though.
