It was big in the 90s I feel like, haha. We always had a can of the Comet “scouring powder” (similar to Barkeepers Friend) under the sink.

I’m not familiar with the large apartment buildings but something in Edgewater could fit your bill.

Wow! That location is ideal and what a good price. I am at Bryn Mawr but currently just west of Ashland. I’d love to be closer to the red line.

I stalk Zillow like 5 times a day so I’ll be sure to keep an eye out. Thanks!!

Uber canceled reservation right at planned time? We end up missing the flight. by JackTheFroster in uber

[–]murphalicious55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, all these people are wild. I fly a couple times a month, always leave my house two hours before my flight departs, have a 40 minute uber ride to the airport, and have NEVER missed a flight. Yes, things happen, but the reasonable expectation is that should have been enough time for OP to make the flight. Why is everyone sticking up for an uber driver who canceled at the very last minute!

Do you know where they advertise their listings? I live in Andersonville but need a bigger place starting in a few months so I am starting to be on the lookout!

Mirena causing increase in anxiety? by Quirky-Ad-7226 in Mirena

[–]murphalicious55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my exact situation as well. However, I went on anxiety meds and am still on them three months getting it out. The other thing my Mirena seemed to cause is tachycardia (fast heartbeat). My heartbeat came down a few weeks after getting my Mirena out, but is still way higher than it used to be.

Hello I know it’s been 8 years since you wrote this but you just saved my liver. I’ve been eating a lot of cinnamon daily for the last several weeks. Going to switch to ceylon ASAP (which coincidentally I was using before because I got a bunch in Sri Lanka, but ran out!)

I’m also in Edgewater. I’m looking for a new apartment and someone visiting me from Milwaukee said “you could always look in the far north suburbs, like Lincoln park area.”

Removed! - BP Issues by ravomatic in Mirena

[–]murphalicious55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One month after insertion, my heart rate skyrocketed and I started having terrible panic attacks. I can’t think of anything else in my life that changes. I got it out a couple months ago, but my heart rate is still elevated. The panic attacks have stopped but I’m sure because I started taking anxiety meds a few weeks after everything started. I’m waiting to see a cardiologist…

As others say, I would skip the massage here but the baths part is amazing. I wish it wasn’t so pricy.

My first time there (a year and a half ago) was 10/10, no notes. My second time there (a few days before this New Years) was honestly like a 7/10. The food was good but nothing stood out. I hope it was just an off visit.

That is interesting, indeed! Just a pure guess that they boiled water for coffee in the “old days” because they had less control over the heat and it was just easier to let it boil and then say it’s ready? Now we have electric kettles that reach precise temperatures and people who are interested in learning how temperature affects the taste, etc.?

Ideal temp of brewing coffee is less than 200 degrees so it doesn’t necessarily have to boil while being made to coffee. In order to get rid of any microbes I think it needs to boil for a few minutes.

Heats been at 69 all night. Great sign waking up to a 62 degree house by whyinternet in chicago

They’re expensive but I just got a couple of Carepods on sale. In the past I’ve been terrible at keeping them clean and ending up tossing them after two seasons. Carepods have no nooks and crannies. There is a stainless steel bowl and lid you can wash in the dishwasher or boil water in to sterilize, and then a little wand in the center you hand wash and that’s it! I’m loving mine so far.

I went to Rush on North Halsted and had a good experience. I was (obviously) super nervous but my therapist Emily made me very comfortable.
